Whos your favorite actor working today /tv/?

Can be big movie stars or small time actors, just actors who you love to watch

Pic related Based Fass is almost always the best thing in his movies, although I havent watched Ass Creed yet because it might tarnish my opinion of him

Alan Ritchson is my favourite small time actor just because of his role as Thad on Blue mountain state. He hasn't really had any roles as a reccuring character on a tv show since BMS though, he's gonna be the mc in this new series called Blood Drive but the premise of the show sounds like it'll flop

Both her character and Scarlet aren't millennials. She is part of Generation X having been born in the year 1984.

Does millennial simply mean #notmuhgenerashun to Gen Z little faggots?

First season and fire walk with me are good, easily 10/10. The new season is garbage and only normies think it's any good.
>>
>>83599328

This, I've been a bit shocked at how bad a lot of the visual effects in this new season have been. It's really bad on a technical level and also boring and confusing storytelling

>Seems like you guys [Mike and Jay] approach superhero movies (I don't think this happens when you're talking about other genres) with too many pre-conceived notions of what superhero movies should be and should look like, which in turn prevents you from "buying" the world each individual film is trying to "sell" most of the time. When they happen to align with your visions of what that should be, based on some superhero movies you liked in the past, you call them good despite the numerous flaws and issues it might have, and when they don't you blow the problems out of proportion and ignore the good in them. Each hero is different and has MANY iterations. Christopher Reeve's Superman is just A Superman, not THE Superman, for instance, just like Robert Downey Jr.'s Iron Man is not THE Iron Man.

Is he right about the RLM people? Are they hacks when it comes to reviewing superhero flicks?

It's really more that 60 years of movies based on comic books has shown what does and doesn't work.
>>
>>83598987
source?
>>
>>83599101
But those use comic books as source materials and comic books have shown you can have thousands of different successful stories.

You can literally have all kinds of stories like a Batman Noir, a Batman Beyond, a campy and colorful 60's Batman, a grimdark modern day Batman, a space Batman that dodges omega beams from a space overlord etc.

There isn't a formula.

>caring this much about what one, or both, of the major comic book-related film studios are doing
>ever

You are now aware that you live in a world, a terrifying world, where there are people right this moment who use terms such as "canon" and "cinematic universe" when talking about films and television shows.

A terrifying world where imagined characters on a screen are required, according to those who discuss them, to adhere to "ground rules" set out by the creators of said-characters. A terrifying world where those that discuss these characters and their actions, are actually enraged if said-characters deviate from the mannerisms expected of them, the mannerisms that may have initially been set in the pages of a comic book.

Think about that. A comic book. For children. Yes, pictures and words on the same page, which are meant to be read by children, that are actually read by adults who then bicker and express their frustration at film-adaptations of these comic books not being "faithful". Faithful to a comic book. That's supposed to be read by young children.

This is your world. This is the world of capeshit. Terrifying, isn't it?

I think we can all agree here that the Alien:Covenant score composed by Jed Kurzel is the best since Jerry Goldsmith's original Alien score?

IMO It deserves an Oscar nomination
