Someone here must either work in film or know how film stuff works. I want to fucking know how they do this 'same actor on the screen twice' thing. Especially with movies coming out now, because they do it so seamlessly.
Now I have searched how exactly it's done however I've gotten a bevy of answers and some seem so far distance from each other that one of them must either be outdated or just untrue.
So I'm asking /tv/. How in the fuck do they do scenes/whole movies like this?

It didn't even need a season 3. The second season finale was an absolutely perfect point to end the series.
Then season 3 came along and gave us such treasures as:
