If he wasn't blind do you think he would have let Benny the Mexican inside his house?
>would you?
>>83790436
you unbelievable /pol/ fuck...LEAVE THE SANDLOT ALONE! I celebrate the day we beat the last of you to death with a baseball bat.
>>83790436
If you were Benny, would you go inside this old negro's house? Do you think he had a white girl chained up in the back, and was only nice to the kids so they would leave quickly?

finally watched this movie the other day for the first time in my life.
>one of the best movies ever made
so they say. im not impressed at all. in fact, this movie was shit.
the shawshank prison wasnt even that scary of a place and didnt feel like it was full of convicted murderers at all.
i think the biggest problem the movie has is that there is no one to root for, or it is unclear who to root for. it is not really revealed whether or not main character killed his wife. he clearly has a meticulous mastermind personality type and one would expect he could be capable of anything. i spent the whole movie questioning his motives and wondering whether he was a good person or not. and by the end i still couldnt tell. actually i think he fucking killed his wife by the end. he says he didnt but he is clearly capable of lying to another mans face when he claims to be this guy that he made up. and that other guys story could have been bullshit or even a coincidence.
the movie's message is also shit and it is clearly written by an athiest or a jew. the movie teaches that trickery, mischief, deceit, and contraband is the path to "redemption".
the movie teaches that if you are annoying enough and you write two letters a day to your senator bitching and moaning about stupid pointless shit no one cares about but you, you'll eventually get your way at the taxpayers expense. to boot, the bad guy is the man of god, and the bible is good for nothing except hiding your pick hammer. the whole movie just feels like leftist propaganda.
i give it a 2/10.
what is /tv/ opinion on this film? also shawshank memes thread. are there any shawshank memes?
>>83790389
Did you miss the part where that psycho guy admits to killing the protagonists wife?
Pay attention next time retard
>>83790598
the guy told that bullshit story in exchange for the tutoring. andy killed his wife.. im pretty sure of it.
Can you imagine not doing it for 40 days or nights wow!
>In the meantime, Erica and Matt are falling in love, and they plan a special encounter for the 40th night to celebrate his successfully completing his vow. On the 40th day, a newly single Nicole learns of the betting pool, makes a large bet and then rapes Matt while he is asleep.
>>83790304
He wasn't allowed to jack off either. He also gets raped.
h-haha yeah, imagine that!
Best documentaries about Chernobyl?
>Welcome to WHO WANTS TO BE A MILLIONAIRE, Jamal we understand you're playing for money to bail your cousin out of jail and if there's any left you're going straight to the mall Foot Locker, let's get started!
My name is Jamal. What the FUCK are you implying, OP?
>>83790280
This is actually an insanely good idea for a trivia show.
>>83790280
Woah...
>A movie like this doesn't come along every day. I am glad I saw it. I saw it at the 2002 Sundance Film Festival, where a fair number of people walked out. I would say half. I was reminded of advice once given me by the veteran Chicago movie exhibitor Oscar Brotman: "Roger, if nothing has happened by the end of the first reel, nothing is going to happen." If I were to advise you to see "Gerry," you might have a good case on your hands for a class-action suit.
>>83790279
And yet, and yet--the movie is so gloriously bloody-minded, so perverse in its obstinacy, that it rises to a kind of mad purity. The longer the movie ran, the less I liked it and the more I admired it. The Gerrys are stuck out there, and it looks like no plot device is going to come along and save them. The horizon is barren for 360 degrees of flat wasteland. We have lost most of the original eight hours of "Greed" (1925), Erich von Stroheim's film that also ends with its heroes lost in Death Valley, but after seeing "Gerry," I think we can call off the search for the missing footage.
>>83790279
>I thus arrive at the end of this review having done my duty as a critic. I have described the movie accurately and you have a good idea what you are in for if you go to see it. Most of you will not. I cannot argue with you. Some of you will--the brave and the curious. You embody the spirit of the man who first wondered what it would taste like to eat an oyster.
What did he mean by this?
you know, little green ghouls
Post your favorite final girl, and why you like them.
Do you think this trope is overdone by now? What is it that's so damn attractive about a final girl?
>tfw nothing scares you so you can't enjoy horror films
I just want to be spooked out. Does anyone else know this feel?
No I'm the opposite, I avoid horror movies because I don't like purposely making myself feel uncomfortable for two hours
you wanna be spooked out? go to abandoned houses alone at night
Sup /tv/ ^_~

Reminder: Scott probably had a personal hand in killing Blomkamp's Alien flick.
>>83790125
it was blomkamp, it was gonna be kino but it wouldnt have been "good"
is this any good?
>>83790050
It's pretty good. Showcases Norm's brand of humour to be certain sure, but sticks to the standard sitcom format.
What are some movies I could watch with my wife's step sons while she's on a business trip?
Don't you think you should ask them what they want to watch?
>>83790200
>my wife's step sons
...your sons?
>>83790009
In case you don't know, your post reads like b8 or a /pol/troll.
Depends on the age. If they are x<8, go with male disney: Atlantis, Sword and the Stone, etc.
If older, any capeshit, meme movie from the 90s, or star wars/lotr.
Or you could give them kino, start off with no country for old men
