What happens tv?
Am I the only one that thinks The Graduate is gratuitously overrated?
It panders to baby boomers who put it on their shoulders because it "speaks" to them. Any other generation is left out of the context
Take the "plastics" quote, for example. It's regarded as an all-time great quote but I literally had to look up why. Essentially it's because baby boomers like Dustin Hoffman's character wanted to escape normalcy and "the man".
I understand the quote now but that carries no weight for any generation outside of the baby boomers.
tl;dr - pandering trash
>>83817786
> literally had to look up
god forbid you should learn a little history in the course of appreciating a movie
>>83817858
Let's not act like the Baby Boomers' "plight" is anything but self-absorbed cultural fad.
This just goes to show out poorly aged this movie is.

Is it too late for The Fast and Furious franchise to go back to its street racing roots?
Has there ever been a franchise that scaled down by choice and was still successful?
I'm sick of all the retarded stunts and over the top super cars. I wanna see Vin Diesel in a Mazda again

Can modern capeshit even compete?

>that knife cut on his face
>that rage
>those claw holes on the fridge after the soldier collapses
When is one of these movies gonna have as good a sequence as the mansion invasion? Just Wolverine alone going through and killing the shit out of all the soldiers is better than anything I can think of in any of the MCU or DCU or whatever else. The other mutants and their powers sprinkled into the sequence is the icing on the cake.
/tv/, where did it all go wrong?
>>83817807
that nightcrawler opening.
