It's a comedy, so Ben Stiller.
He can play Terry Shiavo
Literally what did they mean by this? Did the word 'Jerk' mean 'Idiot' in the 70s?
Fucking loved this movie.
Kinda like the Joe Dirt of its time.
>>83889034
Almost as much time has past since Joe Dirt's release as it was between it and the Jerk's.

We all know that Charlie inherited the Factory and probably died a rich man.
But what became of the others? What was their life like after such a failure?

Was the poetry in this film actually supposed to be taken as "good"? I generally just found myself laughing at it.
>>83888180
It's actual poetry by some professional poet. I wasn't really enthralled by the poems either but I think they fit the character of Paterson and that's all that really mattered to me.
Also, while Jarmusch isn't a right-wing or conservative at all, Paterson is easily the best conservative film of the last ten years.
>pushes traditional gender roles
>has a comfortable admiration for Eisenhower-era America
>glorifies no degenerate behavior. the one character who comes close is instantly squashed
>realistically portrays the vices and virtues of being working class
>>83888214
>I think they fit the character of Paterson and that's all that really mattered to me.
Yeah, I guess that's true.
But what the fuck are you talking about with the rest of your post? His wife is literally Iranian. Also, when he's at the theater he looks around and notices a gay couple holding hands.

>His wife is literally Iranian.
>Also, when he's at the theater he looks around and notices a gay couple holding hands.
It's still a Jarmusch movie my friend. Iranians were the original Aryans. And the rest of my point is still valid.
