What does "cult classic" even mean these days?
I was looking for something to watch on Netflix and saw this under the descrip for Lost
>"Producer J.J. Abrams's cult hit series won nine Emmys, including Outstanding Dramatic series for 2005"
How can a cult series also be a hit? How can one win 9 emmys? I remember when the Lost finale happened it was one of the biggest events on TV at the time, what the fuck?
It did use to mean something, but like a lot of underground culture, it's co-opted by soulless shills to pander to TV watching idiots.
I dare you to find a picture with more talent.

holy shit I saw this production on Broadway around 2003 or so
Was "The Caretaker" by Harold Pinter
A friend and I saw it, and we were joking how it was a "dune reunion." However we left impressed by CIA's performance. "He's going places," my friend said. He was right. He dominated the stage. He was in charge the entire play.
