anyone here ever watch this? it shows a great inside look at disney animation studios from the late 80s and 90s. the animators were working their dicks off and there was backstabbing passive aggressive jewery going on at the top over who would get the credit. also shows the based gay man who wrote a lot of the classic disney animated movie songs. he's basically the reason little
mermaid became such a big hit.

Anyone know of documentaries about ancient building methods? I'd love to see how they constructed complex structures without any technology. Any sort of video pre-dating, like, 1915 or something where everything had to be about manual labour from lifting to measuring to carrying the bare material long distances. Also anything goes from Japanaese wooden structures to Rome's concrete domes.

Is professional movie criticism now officially in the dust? Only a few of the old guard are still around, and you never see their reviews on RottenTomatoes. And what makes it so horrifying is how RT is the largest metric these days for movie scores, studios will brag about RT scores, and yet every fucking reviewer on RT are social justice faggots doing their 1984-esque circlejerks who were failures at real journalism.

Ebert was one of my favorite reviewers, and what I respected about him the most was that, even when you disagreed with him, he at least explained why he felt the way he did, negative or positive, about the film, and you could always tell when he was talking about his subjective feelings on a subject, or his objective analysis. Compare that to a transgendder college dropout on buzzfeed who now gets the top "professional" spot at the top of a RT movie reviews page, and we are fucking doomed.
