The Russos are fucking abysmal directors, and no, don't cite the Overrated Soldier, which had a couple well choreographed fight scenes (edited to death) but otherwise just like Civil Bore just so offensively bland and indistinct, nothing of visual interest. Sucks they're Marvel's worst, and only bad directors, yet they have their biggest property. Cosmic stuff calls for Gunn, Derickson, not this sub CW network nothingness.

No. It was very bleak the whole point of Alien was that there was a survivor at the end and gave some resolution to hope. This is basically a slit your wrist movie if life gets too hard.

Where's the fucking will to live and fight? IT's a pathetic ending. You are wrong.

Also why do an ending like that just add another 20 minutes shgowing the aftermath or skip forward millenia to show what's happened it's very cheap and too much of a cliche now.

Even idiots have moments where we can express a rational thought.

Yeah, it's a bit odd that they didn't show the police at all looking for him, but then again I think it would have been unnecessary considering that whole thing just barely had anything to do with the plot, and would probably have taken away from the film. It's reasonable to assume that the police just didn't know about her.

The main thing they were trying to do with his character was set up his relationship with his estranged son, and contrast it with the parallel of his relationship with his own father, which I thought had a nice payoff at that later moment.

But how exactly does that make him a mary sue, or rather a gary stu? The character is incredibly flawed, and it's quite obvious.
