Can we all agree that Apocalypse Now is the pinnacle of war film genre?
>>84237911
Well, given that I've only seen a small fraction of all the war films ever made, I can't say that. But it's certainly one of the greatest films I've ever seen.

No it's not. Marlon Brando's ham acting saw to that. And fuck the redux and the while lot of nothing it adds to an already long movie,
What'd you cunts think?
About to watch this fucking masterpiece.
It's a waste of time.
>>84237599
Fuck you I'm going to enjoy it even more now that I have lower expectations.

>>84237452
shes very capable, but pushes herself needlessly hard
>>84237515
>>84237452
also mitsubishi eclipse are awful cars
>tv sitcoms have laugh tracks
>comedic movies don't
>>84237242
Shit that is a good observation.
Is it because sitcoms aren't as funny?
It's because film connoisseurs know when to laugh unlike TVtards
>sitcom has dynamic soundtrack instead of canned laughs
I prefer the latter
HOLY FUCK THIS MOVIE IS LEGENDARY!!
Why is there so much hate?? Haven' read the book but judging it as a film it's fantastic!
Cannot wait to see the David Fincher sequel

What do you think about Darth Plageuis death?
Was he the most powerrfeul sith to ever lived as his novel says?
No. Sheev was definitely more powerful.
>>84237088
Did I ever tell the story of Darth Plagueis the Wise?
>He was a good friend/
>>84237103
And then why he had to get drunk Plagueis to kill him?
Also, how can be possible to be at least one of the most powerful sith lords in the hsitory of the galaxy and you lost your strength by drinking some alcohol??
All the changes lucas made to the first three where good changes the new ones are the definitive versions
k
Not all of the changes were bad, the only two that are unforgivable was Han shooting first and vaders "no...NOOOO" in ep 6

Why is acting so dull and "realistic" nowadays? What happened to actors being operatic?
OP has a point.
https://youtu.be/tY1ezMyRV9w
>>84236617
People don't train as stage actors any more. Cameras pick up on subtleties and less is more, etc
Nic Cage is the only one keeping it alive and he gets mocked for it.
Can someone explain why Lefty didn't just call up Nicky or the Midwest mafia to "deal" with this asshole?
Wasn't he based in part on Harry Reid?
>>84236613
Probably but I don't think he wasn't anything the mafia couldn't make disappear back Then
>>84236561
Because he's not just one person, he's the head of a larger group of redneck local assholes much like Robert Dinero's character.
Is it worth a watch? It would be my first silent film. I have always thought it looked creepy and I have wanted to but never got around to it.
>>84236539
Yes, it's a good film and a good place to start if you've never seen a silent film before.
It's good. Better than the 30s Dracula movie. Not sure it's good for a first silent movie though. I'd say watch Metropolis but I've heard people say it's pretty slow so it might be hard to watch for you.
>>84236539
It's good yeah. Metropolis is also recommended as a first silent film.
