how will orville do?
bet it could do very well because everyone seemed upset at the female asian captain in the new star trek
Probably, you can hate Seth but he clearly likes Star Trek.
The first couple of episodes will be funny but the premise will quickly grow old. Doubt it will last more than one season but will leave us with some good quotes.
>>84900139
It's not the female Asian captain, it's the design. The costumes are wrong, the ship looks Gothic, alien and nineties, it's set in the wrong period for no reason. Star Trek has never been other than ultra-liberal, so the captain isn't an issue.
Miss me yet?

ITT: characters that would never be allowed today
He was protested then and his character is explicitly not trans
>>84900106
He'd be trans by the very definition of trans as it is today. Way back in the eighties and ninties, you were required to prove you had gender dysphoria before they allowed you to mutilate your body.
This is no longer the case today.

This is my favorite feminist film. It doesn't go for the obvious "I AM WOMAN HEAR ME ROAR" or portray men as unnecessarily sexist.
Clarice encounters institutionalized sexism in her role as an FBI agent, but it's not in the spotlight: it's just something she has to deal with. She's not portrayed as some kind of super agent, she's just a normal woman trying to do her best in a male dominated field...and she succeeds.
Compare to the "feminist" films of today in which the female characters are infallible, and the male characters parodies of workplace sexism.
I'll start.

So, I've read a dozen reviews of Spider-man" Homecoming and all the ultra-leftist bloggers cite "diversity" as one of the defining reasons the films is "great". What they really mean is the film has less white people in it, but they're afraid to openly say that.
People gave Mark Ruffalo a lot of shit for encouraging MSNBC to stop hiring white people, but at least he had the balls to say what these "diversity points" blogger cowards want to say. I love honesty, even if I disagree with it. This "more diversity" narrative needs to go away. Where are the "more diversity" people on the NBA where you turn on a game and it's 105% black players and no asians, whites, hispanics, puerto ricans, haitians, or jews?
nice blog post you dumb faggot

I blame my sexuality on a running theme of childrens shows from the late 90s-early 2000s
>forced fem and sissification
there were tons of kids shows that did this and it really fucked with my head.I spent like 4 years wondering if I way gay from middle school into my sophmore year of highschool. I laugh when /pol/ or /tv/ talks about tv and hollywood pushing an agenda or a white, straight male genocide but thats basically what happened to me. Ive never told anyone I know in person this but have posted it before and Im apparently not alone which is oddly comforting

Embarrassing.
I disagree with most of them based on the fact that for me, demon possession has become boring for me.
Also, the list is lacking The Blair Witch Project.
>>84898664
It's the most predictable list ever. I love Psycho, but it's not scary today. The Exorcist is scary? No shit. Just about every other 'terrifying film' list has it on there.
The problem is these lists tend to have popular horror films everyone already knows about. Instead of taking the opportunity to showcase some lesser-known horror movies, they decide to circlejerk about popular horror movies everyone has already seen.
