So I just started to watch The Expanse. 3 episodes in, and the only storyline that hasn't hooked me up is the one about the guys from the Canterbury. They are as cookie-cutter as it gets. Loving the Ceres Station stuff, though. Reminds me a lot of Blade Runner and Total Recall. Does it get better? Does it hold up?

I've only watched the first season, S2 still not on Netflix here and too lazy to go through downloading it all. Apparently it gets better in S2 though.
I would say yes, stick with it and enjoy the main plot unfolding. My relationship with a bunch of the characters wasn't very strong through some of S1, and usually this makes me disinterested. But there were enough other things to keep my attention and I enjoyed the season as a whole.

Throughout the episode I was honestly thinking 'Wow, no Daenerys, thank god, might just be an alright first episode after all.' Then the fucking shit ends with her like it's supposed to be her huge awesome reveal. I'm thinking jesus fucking christ please get the fucking shit off my screen.
seriously, though, is she supposed to be the hero of the show and I'm supposed to enjoy her shit? she's fucking AWFUL.

A big problem with the show is that the most important characters are the most bland and uninteresting yet are also the ones with the most "THIS IS THE GOOD GUY" writing surrounding them. Jon and Dany are just boring as fuck and have nothing likeable about them at all. Even the Night King is a more interesting character.

I think Man of Steel is slightly more solid and cohesive while BvS suffered from certain last minute forced studio decisions.
But BvS is so fucking ambitious, so fucking ambitious, that even while having a bit more flaws than MoS, I think its the better movie.
Frankly I would remove Wonder Woman completely, move the JL scene to the batcave and work something bigger for Doomsday. The movie was once a 2 parts movie and it shows.
Liked both theater and ultimate cut. In fact, I think the theater one had a darker tone.
