Of course. Textbook hostile brothers archetype.

hes looking more and more like david carradine every day
Just finished episode 5 .
Why does the plot of this show seem to revolve most of the characters being complete idiots?>I just saw something that will make normal people think I’m crazy. I’d better yell about it to everyone in the most incoherent and insane way possible, while leaving out any details that might lead someone to believe me (for example not quietly telling her son about the missing birthmark and having him take a look, and instead just incoherently screaming at him and everyone else that the body is a fake).>I just found out that a government complex is involved in some sort of conspiracy, and that the crazy mother was right all along. Better break in without telling her or anyone else where I’m going. I know there are security cameras all over the place, so I’m just wander around in plain view of them without a plan and things are sure to go smoothly for me. Oh, I was caught? I’ll just trap myself deeper in the facility. That sounds like a good idea. Those guys spilled a bunch of pills on the table to make it look like I was tripping. Better leave them there for as long as possible so they’ll be in plain sight of any visitors I might have, then tear my house apart looking for a bug and never clean anything up. Did I mention I’m a cop?>I just found evidence that my mom, who I thought was crazy, was right all along. Better not tell her or anything.>Oh, I found a hole that probably leads to a monster that possibly killed/kidnapped my friend and just dragged away a deer. I don’t want to bother finding and telling the person searching with me. I’ll just crawl in alone without telling anyone.
I usually roll my eyes at stories with young kids trying to solve adult problems themselves without talking to adults, but the adults/older kids in this are so stupid that I don’t blame them.

>why not tell son about missing birthmark
Because he still wouldn't believe her. It's a birthmark, ffs. He could just say "but mom, you're probably imagining things" etc.
>walk into government complex etc.
The second he carved open the body with the knife he was in, at this point the only way was further down the rabbit hole. Same as to when he got into the facility, there was no backing out. If he just went home after looking at the body he'd get drugged by the black bag guys like he did anyway, except by going to the facility he ensured that he'd have more info than just "the body was a fake". He's also the sheriff of the town so they couldn't suicide him quite as easy.
And he didn't clean up his house because he had a kid to save and a monster to catch. When would he find the time?
>why not team up with mom
They did, eventually. Also, Jon had guilt about letting his brother go missing so he wanted to handle things himself, that's an explained part of his character.
>why did Nancy crawl in
Because she's feeling guilty about Barbra and wants to save her asap. Also, teenage girl out of her element in a scary place isn't 100% rational. Go figure.

>Because he still wouldn't believe her. It's a birthmark, ffs. He could just say "but mom, you're probably imagining things" etc.
Yeah but still she could have tried to play it cool instead of yelling incoherently at everyone. That's a good way to get yourself committed and lose custody of your kid.
>If he just went home after looking at the body he'd get drugged by the black bag guys like he did anyway
Actually I'm surprised they didn't kill him after seeing the upside-down portal, since he knew too much. I mean he didn't tell anyone where he was going and past episodes tell us they have no qualms about killing/disappearing people and making it look like a suicide/accident/they ran away. With all the security cameras he had to have known he'd get caught. It was basically a suicide mission and he should be thanking his lucky stars he's still alive, since he was really pushing his luck.
Also If he had time to look for the bug, he had time to scoop the pills into a garbage bag and tie it off. If it's just getting rid of the pills it wouldn't have taken him long.
>Because she's feeling guilty about Barbra and wants to save her asap.
I know but it would literally have taken her like 10 seconds to find and tell Jon before she went in. Even most real-life teenagers I know wouldn't have done something so stupid without taking a few second to tell someone.
>>85026319
That frustrated me too, to be honest. You had 3 groups of people all investigating the same damn thing and if they'd just talked to one another they would have realized what was going on a lot damn sooner.

It can't be underestimated just what a major failure this is. They had every factor possible in their advantage and still failed. These things shouldn't happen but now it did. Watch Disney and Sony panic.

>>Game of Thrones not only kickstarted Kit Harington's career as an actor, it also introduced him to his longterm girlfriend, Rose Leslie. Even though their onscreen romance as Jon Snow and Ygritte only lasted a few seasons, their real-life relationship is going strong, long after they first sparked dating rumors in 2012. They're even moving in together, and Harington has sneakily dodged the media's questions about getting engaged.
>When asked if his character would ever get another love interest, Harington told Us Weekly: "No, Ygritte is the only woman for Jon. Always. There will be no one else."
Does this FINALLY debunk and kill off the retarded incest fanshipping between Jon and Daenerys?
>kickstarted Kit Harington's career as an actor
The only other thing I've seen him in was Spooks: The Greater Good which only Spooks fans were even aware of, he was pretty good though. What else has he been in of note?

I don't open the door. They could be burglars/bait, waiting for me to open the door and strike. I never open the door for anyone, unless I'm waiting for someone. Even then I wait for them to call me that they are behind my door waiting. I have also disabled my doorbell so that it never rings.

why must everything be so edgy with americans
>>85025134
they were just celebrating.
this movie was such a disappointment. first 15 minutes are great then it goes flat. what should have been a war movie becomes prison camp movie.
jar-jar-smeagol ("bad ape") was a shit comic relief who brought down the tone of the whole movie
when they found him they were like "could there be others"? wouldn't it have been way cooler if they found a small band of apes and gained their respect then an unknown army of apes comes to their aid in the final hours?
what happened with the whole "I'll distract him while you guys escape thing"? I expected this to be an action-packed hunt, like pharaoh chasing moses across the desert.
why would the last remaining humans go to war with each over instead of letting separate factions do their own crazy shit so long as our species doesn't go extinct?
the end was the worst part. (spoilers) caesar outruns not one but two explosions, then outruns an avalanche, which the apes survive by climbing fucking trees, even though this avalanche buries an entire military base. BUT THATS NOT ALL you get 10-15 more minutes of a saccharine Bierstadt-landscape (is there something special about this particular lake?), plus caesar walking across the country with a fatal wound only to slomo succumb to it at the exact moment they reach their destination.
I had such high hopes. Had this actually been a war movie it would have been great.
