When will Nolan/Tarantino/Scorcese realise that the maintaining the sanctity of the theatre experience is untenable with Virtual Reality on the horizon, with the ability to watch films in your own private/shared 1:1 scale cinema?
Once VR is able to offer enough resolution to make to make the difference between the real and virtual cinema screen negligible, why would people be bothered to pay a premium for what they could easily watch at home?
I was thinking about this as well. There are only a few things that will the theatre togeather.
1. The technologically retarded will not be able to handle VR, so women, children, and old people will still attend. However this will only last a few decades as they will eventually catch up.
2. VR is not seen as something you do in a social group. They need to market it so that it's 'cool' to stay at home with your girlfriend and use VR movies rather than go theatre for watching your romantic movie.
Theatre's days are numbered, it's just a matter of time. I give 20-25 years until they only exist in hill-billy land.
>putting on headphones and strapping a phone to your face so you can watch a movie on a smaller virtual screen
>virtual reality
>a threat to theaters
>a threat to televisions
"VR" in it's current form is completely fucking dead. It's nothing buy investor-mining. It needed software solutions to make it worth a fuck, but, no one actually wanted to develop them, cause it was easier to keep pulling money from retards by promising moronic bullshit, so, shits dead.

Theatre has been around since ancient times. What makes you think VR will kill cinema? It's a different medium and experience.
Which country is going to take over the movie industry after Hollywood crashes and burns?

Hey guys, I don't want to be the bearer of bad news, but some of my Warner sources are saying the Aquaman movie is in serious trouble. Apparently, the chemistry between Jason Momoa and Amber Heard is non-existant and the director is having trouble with the below water scenes. The movie, according to my sources, is not getting the execs optimistic for a late 2018 release either. It's a shame.
Thoughts?
Patrick Wilson as Ocean Master <3
I'm 99% sure you're not actually an insider, anyone could make up these rumors, maybe they're true, maybe not. I do know that Amber Heard can't act for shit so it's not a surprise if she doesn't have chemistry with Momoa. Who btw is absolutely one dimensional as an actor too, he can do the tough vaguely ethnic guy thing but that's as far as it goes. He has nothing else going on for him.
I wouldn't be surprised if they do have problems with the water, basically all films that feature water segments had a problematic production. I'm sure they're mostly shooting inside water tanks with this film, and you can control certain things a bit more but it is still slow and arduous process and you have to be very careful with safety issues.

Was this the film where the director made Adrien Brody think he had an important role in the film, then cut nearly all his scenes in editing and attended the premier with Brody's mother as his date?
>>85270904
I think people really know Duncuck was a terrible movie, but they are just having fun trolling.
I can't imagine there are actually people out there that couldn't see it for the hamfisted lackluster misplaced film it was.
>>85270947
yes.
Adrien even brought his mom to the premier. Remember that this was before The Pianist so this was supposed to be his big break.

Probably won't be too long before Hollywood makes a movie over Trump, let's start casting it.
Trump- Tom Hanks
Melania- Cate Blanchet or Olivia Wilde
Pence- William Fichtner
Obama- Cliff Curtis
Hilary- Glen Close
Alex Jones- Nic Cage
Ivanka- Margot Robbie
Ben Carson- Idris Elba
Putin- Mads or Daniel Craig
Director- Oliver Stone likes doing movies on presidents but I could see Mel Gibson, Michael Bay, or Steven Soderbergh
Let's finish it out
Barron needs to be main character or else no
Who will play based Barron?
>>85270528
>Putin - Mads
holy shit how has this not happened yet
also Robin Wright could pull off Melania if they give her a good wig, their faces are somewhat similar in that they both look like they're silently judging every single person around them
Does anyone have a minute to explain this show to me? Why was it so popular
DESU maybe I don't understand it or something but I never understood it at all and I can't stand it
Can someone tell me if this is actually a good American classic??
>>85270446
It has jokes for everyone and is pretty comfy. It has jokes for both the plebs and patricians in it.
>>85270446
It was the best sitcom of the 90s and I know I sound like a fedora neckbeard when I say this but its humor and refrences are sometimes too smart for modern audiences
>>85270691
Was it a sitcom for people in the business world from the 90s?
What's /tv/'s favorite shitty shark movie?

>>85270271
Jaws is the only shark movie I've ever seen
