>[WB]’s efforts will include reintroducing the film this fall, to scarce few who may not have seen it.
Probably before JL or as a double feature. Meanwhile, it had no drop Thursday drop despite losing theaters. Insane.
>>85567385
WB should fill out the universe with minifilms shot alongside the tentpole releases. Like a 20 minute short film that plugs the gap between WW and JL, that is included either as a stand alone release, part of the home release, or shown before JL

the people who are really grinning are the movie-plex owners. By now they are keeping 80% of the ticket sales.

Thank god they never made a second.

wow that really hurts. its probably one of the last films i saw in an actual theater, to think i pissed away 10 years.
Why people like Batman so much?
I was fighting with my little nephew and ended up making me cry, because i told him Batman's a stupid character and not even a super-hero. Superman and Spider-Man are way better and have actual superpowers.
Desi Comics fanboys do everything to hype up their lame superheroes

Are there any Mel Brooks Tier parodies today?
All the ones I find are either too stupid, or fail to be amusing, like the Starving Games.

not after what you did to roon
So do people really like the Lord of the Rings?
I honestly can't think of a bigger waste of time than spending 9-15 hours on these.
I have tried to watch these before and they have struck me as massively overproduced messes with characters thinner than cardboard and such ridiculous pacing that I actually consider them unwatchable.
>>85565557
it seems you are describing the hobbit movies.
lotr is god tier though and you are objectively wrong
>>85565557
Admittedly, these movies are sort of a 'you had to be there' thing. Seems like you were to young to have experienced them when they were originally released.

>They eviscerated the book by making it an action movie for young people aged 15 to 25," Christopher says regretfully. "And it seems that The Hobbit will be the same kind of film."
>This divorce has been systematically driven by the logic of Hollywood. "Tolkien has become a monster, devoured by his own popularity and absorbed into the absurdity of our time," Christopher Tolkien observes sadly. "The chasm between the beauty and seriousness of the work, and what it has become, has overwhelmed me. The commercialization has reduced the aesthetic and philosophical impact of the creation to nothing. There is only one solution for me: to turn my head away.
>It was boring
Anyone who actually thought this needs to have their cinema privileges revoked
>>85564331
It was not boring, but at the same time I had no idea what the fuck I was seeing and why there were so many goddamned people in the theater just aside from the name "Christopher Nolan".

>/who/ presents:
DOCTOR WHO: SHIT TRIPS Vol. 2
- The Anthology -
>Are you a true fan of Doctor Who?
>Have you ever written down a sequence of words?
If the answer is yes or no, then you are ready to contribute a literary masterpiece to the second /who/ collection of original Doctor Who-based short fiction.
/who/ did it once. Now, we're gonna do it again! Yet another entry in an age-old tradition of p̶a̶c̶k̶a̶g̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶f̶a̶n̶f̶i̶c̶s̶ ̶t̶o̶g̶e̶t̶h̶e̶r̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶g̶i̶v̶e̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶m̶ ̶a̶n̶ ̶a̶i̶r̶ ̶o̶f̶ ̶l̶e̶g̶i̶t̶i̶m̶a̶c̶y̶ / celebrating the magic of Who and the talent of a community.
There are no limits (except the story must be at least 1 word long, and preferably not in excess of 10,000, it's short fiction you fuck).
>- Can involve any Doctor(s), companion(s), side characters, spinoff characters and beyond, as your heart desires
>- Can be in any style, whether it's "legitimate writing", "pisstake", or "shitpost".
>- Can be about absolutely anything
>- The main focus is on good fun in the vein of the wiki, although serious entries are allowed. (If you're going to write smut, maybe approach it with a degree of levity)
Stuck for ideas? Try starting with your favourite TARDIS team (or for timeliness, Whittaker 13th Doctor) and one of these authentic titles:
http://www.saberpunk.net/DoctorWho/DoctorWhoSerialGenerator.php
https://glyphobet.net/drwho
We are going to be starting an index on the wiki for the collection. Anyone can contribute, no signups/pitches required. If you have ideas, feel free to broadcast them.
The rest is self-explanatory. Format for uploading your work is up to you, as long as it can be conveniently copied across (and ideally don't spam long texts in /who/ directly). (Pastebin works well.)
BONUS: Anyone who wants to do cover art or "illustrations" is encouraged.

Hey guys I'm back. Nobody at the thrift store could remember the film being brought in and they said it had been there for ages.
From what I've gathered so far, the whole tattooed fetus thing was part of something Charles Gatewood and Spider Webb did in '78/'79, and it was filmed by someone else, most likely Kenneth Anger of all people. I don't know how the reels ended up in The Netherlands, but the Dutch connection most likely stems from Kenneth Anger (he spent a lot of time in Europe and was probably familiar with the Amsterdam gay scene). It seems that the super 8mm film I have is the only existing copy of it. In fact, it's probably one of those movies Anger made for private collectors. Maybe some rich Dutch collector bought it?
I emailed the gallery that one guy (who claimed to be the gallery owner) posted, but he hasn't responded yet. Still wondering whether that guy was legit or not.
Are you having a seizure, Jason?
What is this about? Post the archives, lad.
I was wondering
Should probably post a hasty gestalt so peeps know what's going on
What do you guys think of Metropolis (1927)?
Socialist propaganda
I watched a version with a load of found footage put back in. It was too long.
