is this show worth watching?
>>84966792
Yes, it's great. You'll have to persevere through the opening movie and the first season but it will pay off.
If space operas are your thing and you've already done DS9 and Expanse and BSG which are all superior.

anon. the surest way to kill the quality of threads is to start making generals
Ordinarily, people make threads when they have a funny idea, or an interesting insight, or thought of a good troll.
But once you start making generals, people start making threads because "there isn't a thread up." By definition the quality of content decreases.
In addition, generals are less focused by their nature, so people just dump in any shit. You start to get meaningless "posting for its own sake" and unfunny "in jokes." For example you will rarely see "First for..." posts except in a general.
If you need further convincing regarding the shitty nature of generals, look at the the following:
>/who/ in /tv/
> /jojo/ in /a/
>and /trek/ in /tv/
/trek/ is the unkindest cut of all since /tv/ star trek threads used to be top quality, but some fucking faggot ruined them over the course of a single month by posting generals.
I hope you reconsider your decision to start a sopranos general on /tv/ as Sopranos threads are still pretty good.
Another one for the long list of movies women will NEVER understand.
Also since I didn't know this was based on a book of a true story, the name and poster made me think it would be a somewhat generic action adventure movie with supernatural elements at some point. Boy was I wrong and I'm glad I was.

What film or scene got you hard when you saw it?
As a kid, whenever I watched this sequence, my dick always got hard. Why?

Why are 80s/90s flicks so much more fun/comfy than today, bros?
>>84966227
> no identity politics
> everything hadn't been done to death 5 times
> no "franchises"
> a discernible and easily understood morality
> People cast for their talent, not part of some bizarre social engineering scheme

Last Action Hero is fucking awesome, ever since the moment that film came out I fucking LOVED IT.
I was born late 80's and my parents brought me up on The Naked Gun and shit like that... I do love a lot of recent films but my heart will always go back to 70's/80's/90's films and TV series.
Because they were written by actual writers, many of them writer directors, rather than studio committees. Moreover, they were made for American, rather than global, audiences.
Woefully underserviced with 13 episodes.

old news
What's the deal with early '00s flicks oozing with cheese? Where it's sort of like '90s cheese, but with better effects?
And who elsemisses it?
I fucking love how cheesy the original Spider-Man was.
Makes me miss the simpler times.
Why is it that people describe Roger Moore's Bond as clownish? (outside of him actually dressing up as a clown in Octopussy, but most people forget how that scene was mostly played for drama and suspense)
He was usually pretty serious and even coldblooded when it called for it, it was the shit around him that was campy and goofy for the most part. I'm the the firm belief that there hasn't been a bad Bond actor yet, they're all good in their own ways. Yes, even Lazenby who's vulnerable portrayal is perfect for OHMSS.
How do you deal with that empty feeling of finishing a show you love after so long? The ending of The Office got me pretty bad. What show has done this to you?
>tfw no sewer scene.
Why won't movies stay loyal to the books?
>CARMELLA
What the fuck are you talking about? They've shown plenty of shots of the sewer.
