What are some other nature kinos?
>tfw /tv/ is just capeshit and /pol/ diversity threads
Most PBS and/or BBC ones will be decent but they aren't all that good. I like the various "Wild X" ones, Wild China, Wild Russia, etc. Theres the series "Nature" of course too.
Some NOVA programs have to do with nature, one about EO Wilson has always stuck with me.
I assume you've watched Planet Earth and Blue Planet. It pains me that Blue Planet 2 won't come out in America until 2018.
Also watch Galapagos. It's like 3 hours but incredible.
I have to scratch my head to come up with some more, non-BBC docs. Maybe Smithsonian or NatGeo sometimes has a good show, but those are far and few in-between (Smith is really more for history docs).
>tfw being patrician is just a phase
>tfw used to love Bergman and Tarkovsky but can't sit through anything slow-paced anymore
>tfw I can only watch bottom of the barrel low-IQ trash like Furious 8 or Transformers 5 now even though I don't even enjoy them
Congratulations. You've finally grown up and figured out that television and film is not a valid art form. That "boredom" you're feeling is your brain telling you that you're wasting what precious time you have left on this planet.

Why would you watch films you don't like?
I'm looking for a non-algorithm alternative to youtube:

Battle scenes in Fassbeth was basically what I hope a live action Witcher movie would be.
The mist and everything reminded me of the second act in TW2, where you battle your way through the ghostly battle that never ends between the two war camps.

Tree of life, the assassination of jesse james by the coward robert ford, the master, samsara, knight of cups, sicario, the revenant. Just to name a few.
Macbeth did look good though
If jedi were the good guys why general public didn't support them during Order 66?
The clone army was too strong, you couldn't just get in the way. Besides the galactic news probably showed bullshit like the Jedi being suddenly evil and suddenly turning against the "good" government (although this is just head canon of course). But either way, I guess Sheev made sure the jedis were all surrounded by clone bodyguards at all times or at least during the order 66 thing.
George decided to make the Jedi incredibly unlikeable and unrelatable

War hero Jar Jar Binx publicly supported Sheev.

Do directors think their own movies are kino?
I mean unless they were unhappy with executive meddling/production problems
I think it depends on the intent that the director has. For example Fincher has made the "meme" distinction in interviews before about the difference between a movie and a film. So when he made Panic Room he didn't come out of it thinking, damn I just made some high quality kino but rather that he just made a very good b-movie thriller which was a bit of a logistical experiment. However that means that there are many directors who truly believe that they are setting out to make kino and think that they are doing that and achieving it. This is where you get into the dishonesty meme. Was making kino the intent or was creating the characters and story and telling it well the intent and it happened to be kino.
