alright I watched ep1-mid episode 8 over a year ago but for whatever reason I had to stop and I forgot about it until today. I don't remember all the details but I dont wanna re-watch it all. Pretty much. The only thing you should probably know besides that is that the fbi agent has a thing for his source in the Russian embassy. Also the relationship is strained between the two protagonists.

I fucking hate the inconsistency of that joke.

The scene is supposed to introduce a Bruce Wayne finally on an all-out Batman persona taking down his first big mafia hit. He does it so smoothly, striking fear in the hearts of those goons, and beating the shit outta them without even realising what the fuck just happened (even the shitty shaky cam makes somewhat of sense in the narrative of the scene) so that the aura of mystery is built up to that "I'm Batman." Then, the same fucking bum from ten or so years ago is still looking the same, and just minding his own business.

What's wrong here? Am I the only one to see it? Weren't these gangsters extra careful of noone being in that place at that time. Even I recall Falcone calling in Blass to make sure everything went just right. What the fuck is that bum there? Why doesn't even he seem aware of all the shooting caused by the gangsters? What the fuck was Nolan thinking to throw away such a great delivery of lines in exchange for a stupid joke?
