Does /tv/ know anything about making television?
Before I get into it, I just want to point out I'm not seriously trying to make it as a writer or anything, I realize it's a pipe-dream and will probably never ever come true. That being said, doing something in television is my ultimate dream in life, so if I by some accident were to make it that would be really nice.
I have a lot of ideas about shows, settings for shows, characters, plots etc. but I can't write for shit (I've tried and failed on least 5 scripts by now). I just can't make dialog fluent and cool like you see in shows like Curb, Seinfeld, Californication, etc. I know what I want with them, but not how to really make them work.
I try to write my scripts based on my own experiences, but I just get stuck and completely lose track, and as a consequence inspiration, leading me to give up on it.
TL;DR: Does anyone have any tips and tricks to become a better screenplay writer?
Write down every funny thing you randomly think of or see happen while running your boring errands. Then cherrypick the best and embellish them with the power of fiction.
Also mix and match the personality traits of people you know and create new characters from them.
Basic stuff, but I hope it still helps.

I'll definetly keep that in mind. Thanks man

How did Aragorn become king and not Faramir?
aragorn was descendant from the royal line and faramir was descendant from the stewart line
>>85450490
Faramir was the son of old grumpy man.
Old grumpy man has no connection to the royal line, he is basically just a janitor type doing the job because they can't find the real king
Aragorn is connected to the actual royal line, blue blood flows through his veins and he is the rightful king.

Aragorn had a ghost army, Faramir didn't
>still no Repo Man re:view
come on Jay, you know it's the perfect cult flick

Seek help you mentally ill obsessed friend simulating sad faggot
That sounds like a Wizard Re:view and he's over saturated on that show already. I'd rather have another Jay and Jack episode. Blade is the second best Re:view they've done behind True Stories.

What does /tv/ think about this show?
Not bad for a shitty black drama show
>>85450418
It has black people in it in positions of power or influence so naturally /tv/tards hate it.
