Psssst, nothing personal kid.
ok i just watched this for the first time (redux). while watching it i felt like i was watching a masterpiece but almost right after it felt like i had just wasted 3 hours. the transition from more comedy to drama was appreciated but random shit like the French people make no sense. the ending while alright is too anticlimactic. no it doesnt need to be full closure but its shockingly weak.
for praise i liked the racist undertones although the one at the playboy dance scene weakened the overall effect. the water buffalo slaughter feels mich too forced and the puppy feels like the director forgot. overall idk, 6/10. maybe could have been 9/10 if i was watching the non redux
Was watching this xpedia ad last night, (about 80 times during one program) and noticed that when the girls jump into the water, you get more than just a glimpse of her acting ability.

Nothing but style and CGI barf. Shame too, because I like the book.
Nice cinamatography, good acting and i'm happy that Leo won the Oscar, but to be honest this is one of the most boring movies i've ever watched.
stop using words you don't know the meaning of
Based Hardy was acting circles around Leo. He should've won
You haven't seen very many movies then. It was nowhere near one of the most boring movies ever.
what are some good movies with queer female protagonists?
Did charlize actually shave her head for that role?

Mr. Reddit
fuck all that
>Universal's Dark Universe could have been great
>Heroes defeat monsters, but they're immortal so they keep coming back for sequels
>Shared universe comes in when the heroes all meet up to take down a big bad, like Dracula
>Frankenstein could have been the Dark Universe's Captain America
>Heroes could be a combination of archaeologists, detectives, journalists, etc who are the only ones who know about the monsters until an Avengers-style movie blows the lid off the whole thing
>Eventually Lovecraft characters could have been brought in
>All if The Mummy wasn't a shitty action movie
Where were you when movies a shit?
>>85604963
>Universal's Dark Universe could have been great
I wish that were true just so we could have Frankenstein, the Wolfman, Dracula, the Black Lagoon Creature and the Mummy in one modern movie.
>>85605246
It pains me that the only modern Dr. Jekyll is that shitty BBC piece of trash.
Can you fucking imagine? A Dark Universe movie where Dr. Jekyll is the hero and Mr. Hyde is the villain? You obviously can't surprise the audience, but goddamn would it have been great.
>TFW no Invisible Man movie where a detective in the police force spends the whole movie trying to find him
>>85604963
Man I want another creature from the black lagoon movie. The original was fantastic. Universal screwed this film up bad (with the help of Tom Cruise). And the last invisible Man movie we got was the hollowman. It was good but, I think a new invisible Man could have been better. We won't get any of it though since universal doesn't understand that a monster movie is a horror movie
