What are some movies where the strong independent woman tries to be strong and independent but ends up looking stupid and ridiculous?
>>87418126
Movies are generally works of fiction.
People won't spend money to watch what they can see happen every day in real life.
>watch picture related again
>forgot how great it was
>wide shots
>great directing
>amazing scenery
Why were the 90's so much better? The overall feel of the movie is so good that the medicore acting and story doesn't even hurts it.
It's amazing that even hacks like renny harlin are masters of subtlety and entertainment by today's standards

Sad but true.

Wow...
>That's Alotta Munny
How did he know the clerk's name?
It was an inside job.
Post movies that are pure kino that nobody ever talks about, especially on /tv/

Good start OP. I got 4 off the top of my head:
Split Second(1992)
The Hidden
Pathfinder (2007)
Outlander (2008)
So we all agree that the obvious best song is the ensemble version of "Tonight" near the end right?
Gee Officer Krupke is my favorite easily. America is a close second.

David Hyde Pierce was 33 when in the first season of Frasier.
It's funny because Kelsey was 38, was 41 in the show, but looked closer to 50 than 45.

What was your favourite moment?
Was it cringe or genuinely good? I always go back and forth on it.
>>87417860
I hate it but I have friends who genuinely love it, so to answer your question... maybe?
First two seasons were genuinely good but they were a product of their time so watching them now is pretty cringeworthy. I'd say it's pretty hard to enjoy it the first time unless you're a teenager.
>>87418138
I watched it a couple of years ago for the first time, when I was about 25, and I absolutely loved it. The first generation that is, it was great - I enjoyed watching the 2nd generation but it wasn't at all the same, and the 3rd gen was shit
hmm
I have a use for you

Should I go see Wind River or Baby Driver?
>>87417736
Baby Driver if you want something fun, Wind River if you want something immersive.
Both are kino.
>On her birthday, Clary Fray discovers a surprise concerning her life. The teenager is not who she thinks she is -- she comes from a long line of human-angel hybrids, called Shadowhunters, who hunt demons. After her mother is kidnapped, Clary is thrust into the world of demon-hunting. Clary relies on mysterious Jace and fellow hunters Isabelle and Alec to help her navigate the dark world. While living in this new world among creatures like vampires and werewolves, Clary's best friend Simon helps her uncover answers that could help her find her mother. The fantasy show is based on a series of young adult books by Cassandra Clare.

Still not as bad as that Van Helsing tv series.
the swords look fucking gay though
>>87417680
yeah but Katherine MacNamara tho
I watched all the Divergent movies and I still couldn't get through this one. In a genre packed to the gills with shit Shadowhunters was the most shit of all the shit.
>I've started watching tv shows from the 90s and I have to be honest these are the GOAT
I come home from a stressful day and to just get in a few episodes a week is awesome and makes me actually not worry about shit.
Maybe I should do that, everything these days is made for people with ADD and low attention spans, though I think that's because the internet has taken most of the audience away from traditional media and they do that shit to keep up.
You won't get people buying movie tickets when they can just browse youtube, but if they fill the movie or show with dopamine stimulating images and fast paced action maybe they'll come, also jokes/quips every second cause that releases the most pleasure chemicals in the brain.
