Can we all agree mediocrity is the worst thing for a movie?
That's how I feel about these new Star Wars movies
4-6 were genuinely amazing and I felt 1-3 were in the so bad they're good range but what does 7 and Rogue One have going for them really?
Every time they release a trailer for these movies they act like it's the return of a giant but in the end it's always boring garbage with no substance or style

Used to be neat little videos mocking plot holes, inconsistencies, production errors, etc. Nowadays they're 20-minute-long nitpicking shitfests. I suppose it has to do with the YT algorithm favoring longer videos.

Anyone else catch this yet? Was pretty impressed for Sheridan's debut. Couple of the shaky-cam scenes were tedious as fuck but despite being fairly straightforward he managed to keep the tensity throughout. Any thoughts?

How exactly is Randyll Tarly a bad guy? I bet you 100/100 dads from any country in the world would prefer to have Dickon as a son and heir rather than Samwell. Game of Thrones, Season 8 Episode 1, from an early script treatment.
The episode opens on Bran by the weirwood. This scene is used as a catchup to remind us all of what happened last season, including the tragic death at Winterfell. Bran sees the Wall falling and then flashes to Jon right before he comes out of the warg.
Next scene is Jon and Dany, the afterglow. Jorah knocks on the door. Dany rises and wraps the sheet around her to answer it. Jon looks regretful. Jorah informs Dany that something has happened with the Wall.
Our next scene has Cersei in bed, bleeding, being attended by Qyburn. He has the Mountain pick her up and take her down to his lab. She is alive but barely. Qyburn tells her he will try to save her as he saved Ser Gregor. Cersei looks horrified.
The next scene will be Jaime, meeting with the contingent riding North, including Brienne. Bronn gallops up to them and announces that the Lannister army isn't far behind. He calls Jaime 'Commander.'
The episode ends with the White Walkers roaming through Castle Black. Edd is turned into a wight.

Cold open on Arya in a snowy wood. She opens her bag of faces and puts on the face of Littlefinger before taking the King's Road south.
On Dragonstone, the dragonglass mine is now cleared and many weapons are being packed to send north. Theon and Varys have a conversation about Daenarys because she won't dedicate more resources to rescuing Yara. Varys tells Theon that Yara is as good as dead. Theon considers moving on.
At Winterfell, Jon and Daenarys face tension as the hall grows so cold it's almost frozen. Jon is told that visitors have arrived from the south. He looks out beyond Winterfell from the parapet, alone, and he sees the Lannister army settling in. Two white horses canter to the gates and wait to be allowed inside.
In King's Landing, people are descending into chaos. There is no food, the Blackwater is full of rotting bodies and the Queen is absent from the throne.
At Castle Black just beyond the gate, a hawk swoops down to land on a strange mound. The hawk sees the army of the dead waiting in still rows and we pan out to see that the hawk is perched on the back of a dead mammoth held by a wight giant.
