We've addressed this already.
Lovecraftian is no longer scary, spooky, or even slightly interesting.
Cthulu isn't anything more than a popculture meme these days.
He's literally a fetish for tentacle freaks and anime fans.
The only people who cares are the neckbeards who like to recite the lovecraft lecture of cats & dogs to explain what a real /b/tard is.
Just go watch Godzilla its the same damn thing.
yog sothoth would be more interesting

i honestly want michael bay to direct an end of the world movie involving cosmic forces.
Who saw the new trailer before IT?
IS THAT THE SAME DOG??????
It looked bad. I don't want to see something mildly interesting turned into Rogen 'n Friends
Movie looks bad but I still want it to get nominated for Best Picture.
Tommy NEEDS to be at the Oscars. It's the culmination of his career.

This retarded piece of shit is a runaway success. How does it feel to be on the wrong side of history?
You tell us since you post on this board as well
I mean unless you're admitting you're not a /tv/ poster, but a tourist or shill :^)
I'm on the right side of history: the side that knew it would make a lot of money while being a piece of crap
HOW did It do it?
I thought most people hated the mini-series so much that they wouldn't even give this movie a chance
Anyone seen it? I thought it was really good. Probably liked it more than Sheridan's others (Sicario and Hell or High Water).
Sheridan gets better each film. Hope this one makes a play in the awards season
>>87563952
Sheridan is definitely getting better with each film and the directing was really good for a first effort. I still think there were some problems with the script, particularly the dialogue. Jeremy Renner also felt a little miscast. I wish Viggo Mortensen had his role instead.
Yup. my favorite movie this year. I've seen it twice. I saw it for the second time last night. The lobby was full of people waiting for IT, and when I went to sit down in the theater there was one other person there. When I got up about halfway into the movie to take a leak the theater was full. So I'm glad the movie seems to be doing well.
Taylor Sheridan knows how to create a mood, that's for sure. He's the best I've seen at it since Fincher. I think the scene where they're being led to Pete's trailer while Renner is off in the mountains searching for the mountain lions is the most tense I've ever felt during a movie scene. Before I saw Wind River it was the basement scene in Zodiac.
Then it was followed up by the most uncomfortable I've ever been during a scene: the flashback to the night the guys came back drunk. The actor who played Pete did an amazing performance of that drunk asshole who won't shutup and you just want to knock the fuck out.

>tfw some normie faggot thinks this movie is about "le follow your dreams", and about sacrificing "each other" in order to be successful.
Watch the damn commentary with Damien Chazelle, you know, the fucking director. Why is it that out of all the people who misinterpret this film normies are always the ones who are the most off?
>>87563838
Can I get a tl;dr of the director commentary? I don't care enough about the movie to watch it but I'm slightly curious
People are allowed to take what meaning they want from art, and while the director's intentions are important they're not the end all be all of the interpretation.
That being said, my interpretation of the movie was always one about art vs commerce and the pitfalls of both because that's something I often think about.
Dunno what Damien's actual intentions were though.
Also don't answer this faggot >>87563932 .
>>87563838
>>tfw some normie faggot thinks this movie is about "le follow your dreams", and about sacrificing "each other" in order to be successful.
"Normies" think very individualistically, it is only natural for them to assume the message of the film is one that coincides with their own narcissistic goals.
Just seen the final cut of flatliners 2017, ask me anything tv
>>87563823
who's the chink
How would you compare it to the original?
>>87563848
The pace/ build-up in the original was better, this one has a few too many characters and the first shock happens literally 15 mins into the film
>Meanwhile, Spider-Man: Homecoming has earned $70.8 million in its first three days in China, meaning it could top $150m in said territory. This brings its worldwide cume to $823m, or just above the $821m (in 2002 and sans 3D) global cume of Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man. It also puts it over the $816m global cume for Wonder Woman (which crossed $410m domestic on Friday). If it holds up in China, Spider-Man: Homecoming could top $900m worldwide. Maybe Sony should team up Spidey with Leng Feng for the sequel.
