Since I think I am correct, I will post my own.
An extremely colorful temple in what is considered Northern Thailand.
The temple is multiple stories high, has multiple buildings and a very large Buddha statue
Not a province many tourists hit, but it is a hit for Thais.

This hand has been gilded from many gold foils. The hand itself is a few feet tall and part of a famous "talking" Buddha.

This empire defeated Angkor in 1431 bringing back Khmer architectural influence. This specific temple is found in central Thailand.

Known for it's temperature inversion it is called the Fog Sea. This is also in the North as I spent a lot of time riding around up there. It is a mountain but doesn't have the word "Doi" in its name.

One last on until others join in. This province is one of the few that have dinosaur bones. It is in the same province as the shot above. It is known for it's lake.

If it's got dinosaurs and it's up North, it must be Phayao. There are a lot more dinosaur fossils in the Northeast--I recommend a swing by Phu Wiang in Khon Kaen on your next visit if you like that sort of thing.

Here is another. My ex at a pretty obvious place up North. Getting there was an adventure involving taking a bus and asking them to politely drop you off in the middle of the highway. We got picked up by a really nice Thai while waiting on the side of the highway for another bus. Great day

This is Mrigadayavan Palace, between Hua Hin and Cha Am, on the grounds of the King Rama VI Military Camp. iirc, the BPP train there.

The palace is painted teak, all open and airy for a summer stay by the beach. Built by/for King Rama VI.

Hundreds of pilings all have a little anti-ant moat, one guy has the job of refilling these as needed.

Yeah, a lot of my good friends are in their Mid 30's and showed me tons of pictures and took me around to places that were hot when they were growing up in the 90s. I really wish I could have gotten over there earlier but I was happy to get there when i did. I studied a semester at Chiang Mai University and it's hard to believe that was 10 years ago. One of the reasons I really like Kwan Phayao is it has that chill feeling that Chiang Mai is currently losing. However I think even there will be built up by the time I can move back again.
