Where are you from? Another EU country?

I was there last year and never ever booked hostel until last minute. Several times booked it while on train on way to next stop, but I did have cheap moviefone sim with data. A few times just showed up at hostel, got room or got directed to hostel with room.

you can stretch quite far with 500 euros if you play it smart. When I used to be a poorfag I travelled a lot through eastern Europe, day budget was not more than 10 euros. Granted, that was some 8 years ago and Spain is a bit more expensive but with 500 you should easily stretch for a month

And no, you will probably not die sleeping rough, but hey: who knows!

Well yeah I'm not actually planning on being a bum, just hardcore frugal living since I don't have much anyway.
If I can turn it into a job then yeah great, but for the short term I'm gonna need a place to store my belongings anyway (hostels as I said, or storage locker of some kind) but yeah, I'm just wondering if it's possible to "bum" it if I really NEED to whilst remaining relatively safe/not dying.

It's gonna get frikkin cold you mong, cold mornings + sunny/hot-ish days+cold evenings is going to fuck you up real good when you're exposed to the elements 24/7.

No shower, proper food or medication and you'll be sick.

If you don't have baseline shelter+accommodation stop now. You simply can't have an enjoyable time doing this in any way, shape or form. Yes, I am literally saying that you can't enjoy traveling without accommodation of any sorts. You won't be traveling, you will be surviving.

spaniard here, its way too hot for my taste, id recommend you go in winter if anything
it does have a lot of interesting stuff to see but the people are awful and i cant stand the gypsy-like mentality
i dont get why 99% of tourists go to the mediterranean coast, like the rest of spain doesnt exist
