Anons,
doing a small roadtrip through Ireland next week.
- Landing in Dublin at 11 a.m.
- 1st night: Spanish Point
- 2nd night: Killarney
- 3rd night: Cork
- 4th night: Dublin
Need some tips:
1. Which road to go from Dublin Airport to Spanish point? M7 to have Cliffs of mother on our way? Or is M8 better?
2. Anything between Dublin and Spanish Point that we should see? Preferably close to the motorway.
3. Ring of Kerry or Ring of Beara - which one is better?
4. What else on our route is an absolute must-see?
No tips for Dublin needed as I have a local there.
Thanks!
No Ireanon around?

Trips confirm roadtrip from hell
When you're in Cork I'd recommend a stop in Coughlin's, it's a tiny, tiny pub that loads of Irish artists play secret gigs in, and usually have after-parties in there that go on until the dawn
The Franciscan Well is a good spot in Cork for food and drink, fuck the IPA and the Weiss though just go for the Rebel Red
Killarney is a class spot, Muckross and Ross Castle are must visits.
Ring of Kerry is gorgeous if you get the weather, it's pretty shite here right now but I hope you get the sun, Ireland is such a beautiful place when the weather is right.
The m7 is a pretty boring road desu, it's just straight the whole way down not much scenery, if you can maybe make a detour toward Tipperary or Clare and check out the Rock of Cashel or The Burren!
One tip for Dublin, drop in to Brogans on Dame Street for the best pint of Guinness in town.
Enjoy your trip Anon

Thx fellow Anon and greetings from hell.
So M7 is the one to prefer over M8?
Hope to be lucky with the weather. Starting on Sunday.

So you're flying into Dublin then immediately driving to the opposite side of the country?
You seem to have planned this out rather poorly.
Might also want to note that Ireland is a dreary boring shithole, with the only redeeming part being the coast, which you seem to be skipping almost entirely.
Have fun staring at cows from behind a steering wheel for 5 days.

Well, is there a big difference if you spent the first or the last day in Dublin?
Thanks anyway for your useless shitpost, kiddie.
Nah, makes no difference. Dublin's a filthy degenerate-ridden dump, so you'll probably enjoy it.
Anyway, first time abroad? Sure you'll be grand.
Hijacking thread
I'll be for 30 hours in dublin (2 evenings)
what should I do in this short period? Guinness brewery is a no-go

Just get drunk anywhere, nothing else to do in this shithole anyway.

Diceys up on Harcourt street for cheap pints and even cheaper women
Godspeed Anon
Op here.
Going tomorrow. Any more input? Especially on the M7/M8 and sights on the way to Spanish Point highly appreciated!
Spanish point for the first night? thats about 4 hours from Dublin and while I think it is the nicest beach it is also just a beach. What you should look into is Miltown Malbay or Lahinch they would be more craic. Remember though these are just small coastal towns and beaches, you won't find a massive crowd. As for Kerry and Cork should be good but maybe try fit Galway in too.
If you get off the motorway at caherdavin you can go toward Ennis through Cratloe, sixmilebridge and even quin if you don't mind going 15 minutes out of the way. Quin has a lovely tourist castle called Knappogue and the bridge and cratloe are nice little towns to pass through.

Miserable cunt

>flying into the one big airport the country has
>>1281389
Shannon Airport would have made a LOT more sense, it's near to the places OP wants to see.
It's like flying into Nice to visit Cinque Terre.

International flights to smaller, regional, airports are a lot harder to come by, and significantly more expensive

>So you're flying into Dublin then immediately driving to the opposite side of the country
Considering Dublin is the best point of entry into the country, and he wants to see more of the country than just Dublin, it makes perfect sense to me. It seems much better to reserve exploring Dublin for the end of the trip, so he doesn't have to rush back from another part of the country to make his flight home.
OP here.
Back from the trip. Everything went perfect. Weather was fair. Thx everybody!
Where can i find good beer in Dublin? Is Guinness in Ireland good(because it tastes like fermentated grass and piss here where i live)?

Don't miss it!

spanish point is minor, I've never heard of anyone going there. I think its in clare. M8 is the same road as the M7 for a lot of your trip.
Visit the rock of cashel (pic related). Its just off the motorway, in county tipperary. It's a old castle or something that was used in ancient times, it sticks out in the landscape and you can see it from the motorway I think.
Also if you're american, there is a service station on the m7 called the Barack Obama Plaza. It has a small museum to Obama inside, its close to Cashel, but in Co. Offaly.

smithwicks red ale is a good drink in Ireland. It's exported as Kilkenny, which is quite popular in canada.
Guinness is ok, but it isn't worth going out of your way for, with all the settling bullshit.
