Looking to travel somewhere for a week or 2 solo, I'm from the uk, I prefer to stay away from tourist trash and look for traditional / authentic experience. Any suggestions?

What languages do you speak? That could influence the answer.
I would recommend Romania. It is cheap, very authentic and its not hard to find places devoid of tourists. The mountains alone are worth a trip!
