Anyone ever dump out cheap bottles of travel sized mouthwash and fill em with liquor to bring on a plane?

12 hour red eye to a time zone 12 hours ahead, I'm only getting through that with a stiff drink and a mid flight masturbatory session.
>>
Does masturbating in an airplane make you an associate member of the mile high club?
>>
>>1262661
Because of people like you, I always have to ask the guy next to me if he needs to masturbate. fuck you
>>
>>1262661
I have not done this. I drink in airports, and on flights (and I'd be amazed if a 12hr international flight didn't offer free booze), but I've never felt compelled to try to hide it in a bottle of Listerine. I don't like my hooch to taste like toothpaste.

If you truly feel compelled to BYO, the subterfuge is overkill--you can bring a giant plastic bag full of airplane/single-serving-sized bottles of liquor through airport security without incident.

Many airlines officially forbid this, because they want to sell you your drinks, but they won't know, and airport security doesn't give a shit.
>>
>>1262661
This sounds like the kind of story that you would tell at an AA meeting. The good news for you, OP, is that now that you've hit bottom there's nowhere to go but up.
>>
>>1262661
>a mid flight masturbatory session
You have serious issues.
>>
you don't need to do it, OP.

I once flew Saudia and I knew there would be no drinks. So I just brought a 100ml whisky bottle on the flight. Unfortunately, next to me there was a traditionally dressed Arab couple, so I didn't dare drink it before them. I went to drink it in the toilet. Felt kinda like a shitty experienc desu, but I got my mellow tipsy feeling and nobody gave a fuck.

on a side note, don't try to get booze *through* Saudi airports on connecting flights. They do check.
>>
First make sure your airline doesn't offer free booze. Many do on flights that long.
That being said, I usually bring little 100ml bottles just to top off what the flight attendants are willing to shell out. Airlines say you're not allowed to BYOB of course, but the TSA has no policy about it, so you can bring as many nips as will fit inside your ziplock bag allowance. Subterfuge is unnecessary.
>>
>>1262661
Thanks friend, I'm glad to know having a drink on a plane is less accepted then barebacking a Pattaya lady boy behind a tuk tuk stand.
>>1262753
Air Canada doesn't even have free WiFi on international flights let alone a free drink selection, I'll be luck to drink tepid water and whatever I can stuff in my gullet before boarding.
>>
I agree this sounds like a AA meeting, or like a high school kid who actually legally drink. Something very weird.

There's no law preventing you from putting actual alcohol as your liquid in your TSA 3-1-1 ziploc. You can fit at least 6 in there, if you squeeze them in, and often it's nice when you eventually get to your hotel room and all that is available is what you brought.
If it's international connection or nonstop home, you can even go to town in the last duty free shop and get as many little bottles as you want.

It's not technically legal to consume your own inflight, only thing you need to know is the flight crew reaction varies, they're like bartenders and should have some control over how wasted, unruly or overserved you could get. They can be thrilled you bought their country's signature liquer when you request a mixer, is my typical reaction from them. But, I guess if you look like an ass, are indiscreetly the cheap guy that circumvented their business model and bragging to others, etc. You can be sure that swigging mouthwash is stupidly looked upon, would clearly make someone wonder just how wasted you really are.

Anyway, being nice to flight crews pays off I've found, where you buy one bottle, but get slipped a second one. Drinking isn't all it's cracked up to be onboard, as I've aged, anyway. My feet can swell, you can cause more trips to the lav than you'd actually prefer. I guzzle water and keep away the jetlag nowadays, right after that 1st drink.
>>
>>1262766
Thanks for the insight. This flight coming up is both the longest and with the biggest time change, I figured a bit of the good stuff would help me pass out.
>>
>>1262661
Every international flight I have been in has free liquor. No need to bring your own.

When it's a really long flight, alcohol is just a way to sleep poorly. It wouldn't hurt if you had a couple scripts from your doctor, if anxiety is your problem. A single drink or two might get you relaxed and drowsy, but after that, it wrecks your sleep.
The real formula is 1) noise cancelling headphones, 2) a melatonin taken for the new sleep schedule 3) being very hydrated 4) benadryl, 5) and a choice of activities that don't wake you or demand too much mentally, a choice of pencil game, books you're already interested in, relaxing music. Video games and some computer work can be stimulating. Law and order puts me to sleep :P

See pic: some of the gummies have melatonin, camomile, valerian and other good combos to knock you out. You could bring your own teabags as well.
>>
>>1262785
Maybe in the states but I've flown international with Air Canada and WestJet numerous times and there's never free liquor.
>>
>>1262790
I typically fly Skymiles team, as well, and have had it on KLM and Korea Air, also. WTF, Canada?
>>
>>1262791
>Skymiles team

>>
>>1262766
Being slipped a second bottle of overpriced alcohol doesn't change how good it feels to circumvent their bullshit prices entirely
>>
>>1262685
is free booze standard even at economy class for long flights?
>>
Do you people really like drinking that much, that you'd even want to drink when reaching your hotel?

I really don't get that, even smaller amounts of alcohol make me feel kinda shitty the next day, you get a dry mouth... All in all much harder to appreciate than being high imo
>>
>>1262761
Air Canada? Yup, they offer free beer and spirits in economy class on international flights. I flew with them a few weeks ago.
>>
>>1262830
Interesting, I flew to Cuba from Toronto in February of this year and I had to pay, not that it was expensive but I thought it was complimentary on international flights.
>>
>>1262833
I've only been charged for booze on an international non-budget flight once, on a United flight from SFO to Heathrow; I was shocked.

United mostly stinks, obviously, but I used to fly them to Asia all the time, and was never charged before. A new thing to be annoyed by! But at least they didn't beat me up.
>>
>>1262709
Underrated post.

Mouthwash is a lot more useful to me than booze desu, so no.
>>
>>1262778
2mg temesta and 2 glasses of wine is the magic combo. You will sleep 8h without a problemm.
>>
>>1262824
flown economy long flight to America from London which was only about 7 hours. I got free alcohol
>>
>>1262889
like 1 beer free, or will they literally just mix you drinks for free?
>>
In my experience booze is free only for business/first class. But I only fly business internationally, so I've never had OP's issue.
>>
>>1262833
>>1262849
Depends on the airline, but you only get free alcohol on trans-pacific or trans-Atlantic flights. I know United only serves free alcohol on trans-pacific routes.
>>
>>1262891

Different anon, but from my experience, expect limited cocktail selections. There will be a few beer, wine, and straight up liquor options; but the mixed drinks will be lacking. This applies to Delta and AirCanada.

Singapore airlines had a decent line up of cocktails in addition to everything else.
>>
>>1262685
Now THAT is a good fucking idea. I never even considered it. Thanks mate!
>>
If any of you fly EVA Air they will hook you up. Good food and they have wine beer and mixed drinks.
>>
>>1262891
>>1262824
Depends on the airline. Fly with something good, you'll have a decent selection at all times. Fly with China Bumfucknowhere and you'll hear "we're out of beer" an hour into the flight. You can expect at least some form of free alcohol though, no matter how bad the carrier.
>>
>>1262952
>In my experience booze is free only for business/first class. But I only fly business internationally, so I've never had OP's issue.
Not true for most airlines for most international routes. Booze is mostly free even in coach if you're crossing an ocean. Except for that annoying United flight I had, described above.
>>
>>1262972
>Depends on the airline, but you only get free alcohol on trans-pacific or trans-Atlantic flights. I know United only serves free alcohol on trans-pacific routes.
That seems absurd to me. I wonder what the internal rationale is, if that is indeed the policy. I know it can't be length of flight--out of SFO, their nonstop to London (on which I have been charged for alcohol) takes longer than their flight to Beijing (on which I have not).
>>
>>1263435
Apparently AA very recently started serving complementary spirits to econ passengers on transoceanic flights. Previously it was just free beer and wine.
>>
If you freeze a bottle of water and try to pass through security, will they allow it? Liquids are forbidden but a frozen bottle of water is techincally not a liquid

It's different for everyone, but yeah. My first thought was "why would you even replace the mouthwash? that's 40% alcohol, same as vodka." It gives you the shits, so I wouldn't drink it on a plane, but if you're an alcoholic and hard up, at least it's better than downing a bottle of hand sanitizer.

I will believe it only because I have faith in airlines' (particularly but not exclusively US carriers') bottomless capacity to be stingy and arbitrary. And I haven't taken AA internationally in years (although I have a vague memory of a Bloody Mary with them at breakfast once, I may have been in domestic biz class). Still seems nuts to me.

>>1264941
Please, that's not how it fucking works. I used to drink a lot and very often, but I'd still feel like shit the day after. If your tolerance to weed is very low, you might feel tired af the day after, but you don't feel shitty and you don't get a hangover. I do driink water, much better than alcohol.

Alcohol is a pretty shitty drug, I don't know how anyone can deny that
>>
>>1262670
...what?
>>
>>1262685
What I don't get is why you wouldn't buy duty free either? Like before you go drink part of a coke bottle, fill the rest with booze and get on the plane. You could do that with any mixed drink or just empty out a water bottle and take vodka if you want. No need to smuggle it in travel sized mouthwash bottles that'll make it taste like shit either, unless you really want to bring something specific from home.
>>
ok guys, do you think i could bring a clean vape (like a small one that's warmed by a lighter rather than battery) and vape a bit of heroin in the toilet of the airport? i'd do it just before flying

i'm thinking to leave a bit of h in the vape and just go through customs that way
>>

>>
>>1262826
>Do you people really like drinking that much, that you'd even want to drink when reaching your hotel?
I drink little on a plane. It makes poor sense to get drunk in the air for a multitude of physical reasons, from poorer restful REM sleep, to increased effects, and compounding dehydration.
>I really don't get that, even smaller amounts of alcohol make me feel kinda shitty the next day, you get a dry mouth... All in all much harder to appreciate than being high imo
Try drinking water and understanding how your body works. You're on the ground. Getting high is usually stupid for your health, and pretty dangerous and risktaking while traveling.
>>
>>1265526
Eh, it seems that you're agreeing with me at first, but then you're telling me to just drink water.

It's risky bringing something on an airplane, which I'd never do (maybe edibles)
>>
>>1265527
>Eh, it seems that you're agreeing with me at first, but then you're telling me to just drink water.
There's nothing wrong with drinking at your hotel, and it has nothing to do with liking to drink oh so much. Upon arrival at a new destination is the most appropriate time to do it. Drinking water as a person should, is a way to avoid a dry mouth (dehydration). It's not the alcohol that does that, but your lack of staying hydrated appropriately when drinking alcohol. Most people do 1:1.
>>1265527
>It's risky bringing something on an airplane, which I'd never do (maybe edibles)
Maybe nothing is how you should roll.
>>
>>1265329
This must depend, I flew from HK to Toronto and got no free booze. Free juice and such, but no alcohol. This was longer ago though, maybe their stepping up their game due to their abysmal reputation.
>>
>>1265529
No, there's nothing wrong with drinking at your hotel. I just don't understand the appeal. The most appropriate time, in my opinion, would not be when you finally get to your hotel and you're tired and exhausted, but people should feel free to do exactly that if they wish. I just don't get it.

Yeah, I probably wouldn't bring anything, but I'd have no problem bringing edibles, although I'd probably consume them before security to not have anything to worry about
>>
>>1265529
Oh, and most people don't do 1:1, most people just drink.
>>
>>1265535
>Oh, and most people don't do 1:1, most people just drink.
Lower education types. I tend to think most people know better and have hard of the water changes during metabolism of alcohol.
Try not abusing it and stop worrying about hangovers so much. Drink your water.
>>
>>1265534
I think maybe you live your life in theory, and not really any repeated experience about these things.

I'm well traveled, and not utterly exhausted after every kind of flight. I try to sleep on redeyes, I often take a "rest day" if I am tired, spending time in a hotel pool, spa or baths in town, leisurely RSVP fine restaurant night. Yes, I might have a nice drink and shower and simply hit the town running with excitement and energy alternately. Don't project your small amount of travel experience onto others for every situation. It's typically different. Alcohol might make you tired, but alternately, affects others as happy and relaxed.
>>
>>1262685
Yes I do this all the time. Bring a few single serve bottles with you, order a free soda or whatever, then discretely pour in the liquor once the flight attendant leaves. It's easy and I've never had a problem.
>>
>>1265523
assertion fallacies and insults do not prove your point

You're both queers. Both booze and cannabis has its place/uses. Booze for when you're around chicks and have a chance to score to loosen yourself up, weed when chilling with close friends.

Also the absolute best use of weed is to kill a hangover after a night of heavy drinking. Also stop being a preachy fag weed dude, some people like booze, some people like weed, some people like both, you aren't special or better for preferring weed over booze.
