I'm planning to live in Russia for a year next year and plan to teach English. Does any anon have advice or suggestions. IE cities to stay in and what chances I have.

You should probably stay in whatever city the job you get is in.

Moscow or Saint Petersburg. Any other city if you want to live on 100-500$/month in a postcommie shithole full of retarded foreigner-hating vatniks.
Well, you should get the job first. Russia isn't SEA; you won't just fall into a job teaching English.
That being said, Moscow or Saint Petersburg are your most realistic bets, though if you land a job in the former you'll be dealing with Moscow prices. I don't think you'd want to live on $400/month in some Siberian shithole.

Look, /trv/ - it's another fantasy-wank thread.
OP, I don't mean to be rude, but perhaps you should abstain from asking advice until you're in a position to actually move to Russia. If you don't know what your "chances" are where to live, I doubt you have your qualifications in order, either.
Were that the case, I suspect you would have known to list them.
Get a college degree, a CELTA, and do a bare amount of research on teaching English abroad and in Russia specifically.

You're not being rude it sounds like a solid plan. I'm working two jobs to save and taking Russian classes. I could get an associates in a semester but not a bachelors in a year. Good advice anon

You know where to go. Rush B cyka
Not OP
But similar to me, ill be moving there december, i just need to figure out visa situation.
Plan was to use my 3 year tourist visa i already have, and just leave country every 6 months and re enter until i get a more permanent visa. Such as work, or student...
I dont want to teach english though, i hate that idea. Hopefully stumble into computer work, cook, or some freelance....
And if i dont find a job ill just live off savings. But visa is my biggest concern, u need to look into it OP
> cities to stay
Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Kazan, Yekaterinburg, Sochi are the most developed cities
could also try Kaliningrad, it's not bad
