Hi folks, I'm going to Hawaii for two months. What's the best and cheapest option for renting a car for two months? Kona is the island I'm visiting, so feel free to suggest other good stuff to do on that island.
First timer by the way.
just take one of the baggage carts from the airport and ride it around like a scooter

made me kek, but honestly it's my only job for the trip and I don't want to fail my family.
What about buying a semi reliable shitbox, though I don't know if second hand cars can be expensive in a remote place like that.

2 months isn't really a long enough of a time to justify that kind of purchase and it's hard to gauge reliability of a shitbox. Thanks for the suggestion though, if I really get desperate I'll consider it.

Island of Kona? You mean big island. Check craigslist big island cars and trucks by owner, occasionally you'll find somebody actually advertising their car for rent.
Prices for cars are inflated in the islands, especially trucks.
Otherwise, if renting from a company use kayak or simulator search for car rentals that are off airport. The prices are drastically lower than renting at an airport.
