I'm betting Russia. I've flown to/from Asia a bunch of times and there's always one small section in northeastern Russia that I always look out the window when we get to. It looks exactly like that.

My GF and I traveled to McCloud Falls, California last summer. We hiked through the forest and found two waterholes for rock diving. Warm weather, and cold, crystal clear water. The water is so clean to drink it does not need to be filtered. Some people brought jugs to fill and drink the water straight from the source. Incredible place.

Nice
I have a lot of photos I can post. If you want to see some more let me know.

If they're all decent pics like that, then by all means go ahead anon.
>>1214701
They're not all amazing or anything. I'll try to post a few and you can decide if you want me to continue...

Here's my last pic for now. I rode my motorbike down the west coast last year, best trip of my life. Ended up crashing the bike though and didn't make it to Yellowstone. I have a gopro recording of me crashing into a cactus as a souvenir...
Still, southern Utah and northern Arizona are beyond spectacular. My favourite places in the world. I hope to be back in a few years...

Jesus this is gorgeous, haven't even looked at your other photos yet but I had to stop and comment on this one

Great pics, Anon. How old are you and what do you do for a living?
It seems like you are well-traveled. I would like to be at your level some day but I work full-time in the USA, so I only get two weeks vacation a year, IF I'm lucky.

Rather nice sheep near Westport, Ireland.

Look into Yellowstone in winter. More restricted in where you can go, and needs some planning, but well worth it.
Not terribly intimidating temple guardian at Feng Du.
The unconscious similarity of pose I just sort of got a kick out of.

I’ve seen a million pictures of the outside of this temple. I’m curious as to what’s inside it. Anything interesting? What’s in there? Pics?

I'm 30. I worked the past 6 years doing a desk job but because I worked contracts I was able to take as much unpaid leave as I wanted to in that time. Would usually take 4-8 weeks off each year. Right now I'm in Australia, working temp office jobs in Melbourne. I can go back to my job in Canada within 10 months (which would be in early July) as I started my trip in September. I'm not that well traveled to be honest. Only 19 countries. But I do take my time when I visit a place.
>>1214778
Yeah it's a nice souvenir. Absolutely nothing happened to me, I have one tiny scar on my hand as I wasn't wearing gloves that day. Unfortunately bike was a gonner :(
>>1214795
I hate winters, it's why I'm here in Australia right now running away from one back in Canada.
>>1214768
Thanks, New Zealand is an incredibly scenic country. Especially the southern island. I'll post a few more photos later on from NZ. I just spent 7 weeks there not too long ago.

The monkeys in Costa Rica were too cute, I heard so many horror stories about the monkeys in Asia but these ones were just chilling with me all day long.
>tfw you meet locals while traveling and they invite you to a sports game and you think you'll get average seats and a fun time but it turns out you're sitting in VIP seats with a private butler, buffet, and TV and then you glance down at the ticket and it says $540

There's a guy like that in every western city with a large Asian population these days. Here in Melbourne the dude sits next to the main rail station in town and annoys me every time I'm there...

Pretty much gave up after bringing 3000 photos from India in '13. Absolutely no chance of ever catching up and editing even a tenth of the photos I kept now.

Here's a pic of the entrance, don't have one from inside because it was too dark.
Nothing interesting, only a big dark room, there are what look like hallways or other rooms but collapsed so impossible to access. You can make out some carvings on the walls but theyre all destroyed after the centuries passed.
>>1215946
Here's one of the collapsed passages

Thanks!
>>1215880
All right then.
>>1215881
Nope. Seemed like a lot of work to shuffle around with a huge bunch of tourists. As nice as Pompeii and outlying areas are, frankly, I BTFOd from Napoli as fast as I could. One of the most unsafe feeling cities I've been to.

Didn't get into Naples. Was planning to, to catch a train to Rome from there, but a guy working at the hotel where we were outside the city offered to drive us for less money, so we did that.
The day we went up Vesuvius was not crowded, really -- less so than Pompeii! -- but the climb was harder than I'd have expected -- that loose cinder makes it a case of step up, slide back half a step, repeat.

MONKPOSTING FIGHT!!!
Monk in Shanghai, I thought he was being all spiritual doing prayer beads or some shit -- got closer and he was doing stuff on his phone with a stylus.

Crocodile I came across one day floating down the river and got close enough to touch.

A friend I made invited me to his village to drink a local drink. Its fermented and heated cassava (manioc). You drink out of these long reeds with coffee filters on the end, while the pot sits on a hot plate. Women every once in a while get up to refill the pot. Sit around drinking for hours, and when you finally try to get up you realize how fucked you are. It's called marwa and locals refer to it as hot wine.

Oh well. Make fun of me
Pretty picture in Greece.

Sunset Dune in Jericoacoara, Brazil. Would not suggest this location for any RealTravellersâ„¢ as it's been extremely commercialized. If you can enjoy a beautiful isolated location with an awesome nightlife and fun adventures during the day, go for it though. Great place to party your dick off, and everyone there is in exactly that mindset.

It's a very special monument in a very special area. It was created by locals in 1967 and survived the Nagorno Karabakh war.
Nagorno Karabakh is still a disputed "war zone" in Azerbaijan but its "de jure" a part of Armenia.
The area consists of stunning mountains, lakes, forests and the people of Karabakh are strongly tied to the nature of their land.
The monument is called "We are our mountains" and the name makes sense doesnt it? You can only see their heads, because the rest of their bodies are the mountains they live in.

The people mainly, so friendly and helpful. Didn't have a bad meal, everything was in walking distance from the centre. A lot to see too, one of the most consistently pretty cities, each street was gorgeous. I just had an amazing time and can't wait to go back or to Porto
>>1219890
Patuxai in Vientiane is pretty nice from a distance, but up close it's all made of concrete and feels kind of soulless.
(Yes, the pickings are getting slim.)
