So I'm flying home tomorrow from London Heathrow. How likely is it to get your flight delayed on NY's eve?

At least prepare to lose your mind because of queues.

why? I've already checked in online and I'm going to the airport 2-3 hours before my flight

Ugh, I think Heathrow is one of the most overcrowded ridiculous airports to fly through or out of...too many trams, exterior stairs, long hallways connecting buildings together. A "2-3 hours" is almost not early enough, I'd allow 3 minimum, and with that, you will have not even a minute to buy a liter of water in a gift shop past security. Fact. Go earlier.
New York will be business as usual.

I don't know about Heathrow specifically but at least around here I know Montreal is dealing with insane queue wait times during Christmas break.
Maybe it's just because they're retards though.

>I'm flying at 7pm so I don't think there would be many take offs by then.
Huh? New Years isn't really an airport/airline holiday if that's what you mean. If anything it could mean some places in the airport are a little short-staffed, from security to gate agents, but crew and flight schedules aren't cancelled or reduced from any other saturday or sunday schedule.

I mean that it's late in the day and the bulk of the flights would take off around mid day I guess

You would think wrong. Heathrow is busy 24/7

probably, there's been delays today due to the fog but I've checked the weather for tomorrow and looks fine
