Greets, /trv/:
As the OP of some earlier "themed photo" threads, that seemed to go over well, let's try again. (Previous threads included Wildlife, Religious Places or Ceremonies and Water Related.)
For this one: People you encountered traveling, please.
Personally, I am most interested in expressive faces, but post what you like as long as the focus is on the people. And maybe mention where you were in the post or pic title.
Siem Reap, for this one.
What you got?
Aaaaaand I typoed the title. Nice.
Posting few to get us started, girl at train station near Tokyo.
"Captain Crazy," Nine Mile, Jamaica. Sadly, I did not get a decent picture of him laughing, it was amazing.
Kuwait. Liberation Day shenanigans, as close to a Saturnalia as they get.
Last time I was there, silly string had been banned because young men were using it to cover the windshields of cars driven by young women so the girls would get out to clear it away, and they could talk to them. Also, apparently, cleaning up a few tons of silly string is not much fun the next day.
Sumo wrestler, getting pumped. If my memory is right, he was from Georgia and won his bought.
At Temple of Heaven in China.
That should get us stared, looking forward to seeing what you have.
De Medellin.
My favorite Cosplayer at the last Comiket
There weren't many people lining up to photograph her (her cosplay wasn't really elaborate), but her expressions were great and she did some great poses, unlike most of the others who just stood there awkwardly
A girl I met while travelling and ended up staying with for a few nights praying near Fushimi Inari
This guy was feeding those little birds and when I asked him if I could take a picture, he pointed at them and said Yakitori (which translates to grilled birds). Not sure if he was serious, but apparently you can eat them in Nippon
And a random sax player in Paris, that's it from me
High school students in Pyongyang. Standing in line to leave flowers at the statues of Kim Il-Sung and Kim Jong-Il
Actor in a "Cirque" themed around the Cambodian genocide...
...about to get their first sight of Grand Canyon.

>you can eat them in Nippon
I guess you could eat them anywhere...
Nice picture, though.
Falconer and not-falcon, Cong, Ireland. Owl named Dingle, was described as being an idiot. Forgot human's name, but you see more humans around than owls, so not as memorable..

One more. Without the movement and music, I'm not sure these capture how creepy these bastards were. But hopefully something of it comes across.

That's nice -- the "light leak," or whatever it is, sort of makes it more atmospheric.
What are the pipes jutting out above his head, do you know?
Random kid in Savanakhet or Pakse, Laos.
His smile got me.

I know I took a picture of a photograph, but I was kinda amazed by the look in this man's eyes.
It was in the genocide museum of Phnom Penh. Basically, when they took this picture, the guy has already been through countless tortures.

He was playing on his Samsung while using earphones, but took them off when I asked to take a pic.
4/4, that's it for me lads, I don't focus a lot on people photos.
Other people pictures are my ex girlfriend and I traveling, and it hurts going through it.

Those pictures were amazing. I know saying this on 4chan is asking for grief, but the dignity those people carried with them was astonishing.

That surprises me. Monks are normally pretty careful not to get into a position where they might accidentally touch a woman, hat with the ritual pollution that entails, is that not right?

I have seen hidden cam vids of monks fucking women. Every "monk" you see is not necessarily a monk. Like at this place. The Wat/temple/monastery is also a free school, where the poor who can't afford it can send their kids, and they get an excellent education with an emphasis in Buddhism, but have the option to walk away from the monastery once they graduate. An also a lot of male thais spend time at the monastery as a right of passage, but aren't monks. In addition, this monastery had a "talk with monk" thing, where you can speak with the monks, and they get to practice their English.
In UAE.

Saw this guy in a temple in Shanghai, though he was doing whatever the Buddhist equivalent of rosary beads is, snapped a pic of the contemplative solitude moment.
When I walked on by, it turns out he had a Blackberry...
Posting a couple from kite festivals.
