I'm going to HK with my gf for NY celebration, could you give me advise about best place to celebrate and maybe about any sales during January. I was there once and really like this city.

Although I guess all the good restaurants, as well as the junks and boats are long booked.
You'll probably have the highest concentration of people in central/mid levels/LKF.
It could be a lovely sight from the peak too, with all the fireworks.
It's been a few years I haven't spent the holidays in HK but there are big sales for every event of the calendar, including Xmas/NY.

well, to be honest, we are not going to restaurant . i think we just will hanging around the city and watch fireworks . i have no idea what to do 1st of January,- i know it's a holiday but will public transport, malls and cafe's be open?
