So I just booked flights for me an my girlfriend to see Paris. How bad did I fuck up?
For the record we both went to India/Nepal last year (and enjoyed it) so we're not super sensitive to a little bit of hassle. But is it really a city full of gypsy pick pockets and brown people? The architecture and food is still nice right?

Food and architecture and worth it, all the ay. But Paris still isn't the most interesting or safe city in France. Pickpockets are not a real problem actually.
Meh, try and enjoy it.

As long as you speak some french and enjoy architecture you should be fine.
paris is still comfy
just stay out of the ghettos
Paris is great anon. I felt safer there than I did back home. I didn't feel like the French were rude and the touts are nothing compared to the ones in ME- literally how hard is it to just walk away? Beautiful city imo, but maybe I'm the outlier.
Why do people go to Paris when Rome exists?
On the train from CDG into the city you will be shocked to pass through the banlieues and find that you're the only white person on the train (besides the other naive tourists also riding). Around the city's major attractions you will see other white tourists along with lots of gooks but keep an eye on your belongings at all times. Never engage a gyspy when they try to distract you with their "speak English?" petition scam.
It's true that the city has beautiful buildings and monuments so enjoy taking photos but imagine having to live in that dump as a local with nignogs chimping out at the slightest provocation and ragheads threatening jihad daily.

Pretty sure most people IRL feel this way, it's just that neo-4chan is full of edgy shut-ins who feel the need to race-bait and turn every board into /pol/

You can safely ignore whatever /trv/ has to say on Paris, this board is patrolled by a couple of retards who get triggered by the sight of a brown person. If you can handle the touts and beggars in South Asia, you can pretty much handle anything. Paris is basically on the level as any other big first world city. Big, busy, and expensive, so obviously not very appealing to social anxiety NEETs.

Yes everybody on 4chan is an autistic NEET, except YOU of course. We're so lucky to have you o wise one.
I'm in paris for the first time right now actually, it's pretty and the architecture is nice but if you can I truly recommend you go and spend time in london, it's easy to get to and it is much nicer in my opinion.

So America, basically?

I am thinking about going to Paris too but I winter months, I am thinking about beginning of January. Would I be alright? Would Paris be fun and have to offer something nice in that time of year? Would the experience be comparable to summer?

It's all the same but cold and wet. If you're ok with being cold and wet you will be happy.
