Rabat, Morocco is super cosy, especially if you're used to the abuse and hassle of every other big city there. It's got the best street food in the country, nobody looks twice at you for being white, Shopkeepers don't give a fuck about you, nobody bothers you at all unless you go to the kasbah.

Taroudant is like this too. I'd happily live in either city.
Not OP but bump
Bishkek, it gave me off this vibe of a place that "you can't really do lots of shit in it but you can stay for a long time in it"

Likewise. Being in a million person city but escaping to the countryside in 15 by marshrutka was excellent. Why did I leave

did you visit ala-archa?

I really liked Rabat. Noone talks about it, but that city has a chill atmosphere unlike pretty much any other city I've been too. The gardens, the mausoleum, the white architecture, the ocean... super relaxing place, even if not so exciting
Portland Maine, during the fall and winter. Gets pretty packed and touristy and is a general hipster hive during the spring and summer so that kind of ruins any comfy vibe, but the off season is beautiful.
Prague 10/10 cozy.

The centre sucks balls desu
>>1153045
you just have to use other streets than the tourists do

Who goes to Old Town anymore?
Žižkov is where it's at by the way. Among many other places.

This was on the way to the falls. Base camp was an awesome home too

I took the other path to the waterfall, it was cold and rainy and very muddy but seeing the clouds move into your direction and at your elevation was awesome
>>1153151
Did you go to boom gorge? I played lake tar tesh with locals being the only guy on the hike

Were you working or Vaca
What are peoples thoughts on Venice. I really have no idea what it's like. But it looks pretty cozy to just wander through all the streets
>>1153893
I would agree if it wasn't so packed

I'm going to Europe next week and for that exact reason that I said I'd love to go to Venice and just explore. I know it's no groundbreaking idea and thousands do it daily. But for a solo traveler would it be good to just wander through there?

Go in spring or winter, it's still pretty warm, and you'll enjoy it more without throngs of tourists. I don't know where my photos of my trip are, but the main square had like 5 people in it at midday, and just walking around the empty alleys for hours was awesome. Wouldn't want to live there year round though, I've seen how busy it gets in the summer.

Yeah, it's pretty great. Though in August it will still be packed, which will detract somewhat from the experience.

By the time I get to Venice it would be about the 20th-25th of September. Is it any better then? Only a month away I know
Wroclaw definitely! Check it out.

I'm a bit confused about when the Carnival is up (it's been a couple of years since I've been to Venice), but IIRC that's in February. Either way, you'll get some/a lot of tourists hitting the shoulder season like you, but MOST definitely less than the summer hordes.
