Depends on the city in NZ senpai. Auckland would a bit more expensive to live as it is a major city, Wellington 2nd then Dunedin third. Think $200 a week for rent, 70 for food 50 - 80 for utilities and another 100 for miscellaneous as a rough guideline for NZ. multiply the quantity over 104 and you have a figure about how much you need to save.

As the guy above me stated depends on the city and how long you need to go for with degree, if you have NZ citizenship check if you can get student loan if so then I'd recommend Wellington it's affordable and is relatively small as opposed to Auckland filled with chinks and generally unaffordable without support

Otherwise $10k nz would cover all expenses

I'd say if you saved up like 6-9k pounds you'd be fine, your currency is worth almost twice nz currency (unless the pound has dropped even harder since brexit)
