Desperately need some advice.
So I'm in Canada right now, and I'm leaving back to the US tomorrow. I just looked at my passport and there's black marker covering the last digit of my birth year. I don't know how this shit got on there, but it wasn't there when I was coming in. I tried washing it off but I think it's permanent. Will this fuck me over as I try to leave the country? I have no idea what to do.
You should be ok I wouldn't worry too much about it

Worst case scenario they ll take you in for extra checks so you might be delayed longer than usual and then they ll let you go
Would be nice if youd let us know how it all went when you get back.
You shouldn't have any big issues. Maybe, like >>1117788 said, you'll be taken aside for some extra checking, but if you're good, nothing should come up.
Still, don't you have any other official ID with your name and birth date to show in case they say something?
really shouldn't matter
your birth date should be on the bottom when they scan it anyway
