Here maps and the offline ms Translator. My roaming deal is pretty good, but always easier to just have everything offline, esp that scanner/translator.

Also some sturdier transparent zip bags like the ones from muji always do a great job in wet conditions.

HERE maps is very great app when traveling abroad, you can download maps for free and navigate with them without internet.

A gold mine for thieves. Might as well kill yourself if you lose it.
