Anyone travel by bicycle? What's your favorite tour you've ever done? I'm going on my first real tour at the end of this month. Will be going through Costa Rica and Panama. Any tips?
>>1263722
have done many trips neither of us would call real tours
first real tour, first day: made it from outside of phoenix to north of tucson along pinal pioneer parkway. bad injury shortly after arrival, hospitalization, never toured again
Doing this trip, starting from the bottom of the list, on bike.
Im not really into couchsurfing and stuff like that, so Im going to be staying at hostels most of the time.
Does anyone have any tips on what to see and do on the trip?
Ill try to keep the thread updated if anyone is interested too

UK fag here, never tip for anything other than a taxi journey or a haircut and even then only a pound or two
People here get paid 'okay' so don't expect it
How long does it take for an ETA to Canada to process if they ask for additional documents? My flights very soon and I dont know if I should move it forward.
>>1263615
why didn't you get the eta before booking a flight... it's a tiny fraction of the cost of what changing a booking would be
Hey /trv/, let's play a game. Post some pics from your travels and the rest of us will guess what it is. No cheating!
I'll start with a few easy ones.

Hey anons, i'm done living my life, I want to get away from all of this bullshit. I just want to live life on the road, going through europe and asia. my only problem is how to make money on the road, how hard is it to invest in cryptocurrency or stocks or legitimate ways to making money online?

Learn how to code or write or both. You can do these on the go and be one of dem der digital nomads.
Otherwise enjoy risking deportation and crippling poverty.
Get really fit and sell your ass to old gay guys

On a serious note, stocks seems like a good idea.
Has anyone here done a tour of Chernobyl and Pripyat? If so, who did you go through?
I'm looking at this site https://www.chernobylwel.com/
but I'm wondering if anyone has any (cheaper) alternatives
Bump before I go to bed
I've got 14 hours worth of flying ahead of me. How do you self medicate for flights? Do you need to? I happened across some pic related so I'm a bit excited for the flight.
>>1263466
I don't really self-medicate; I'm not a nervous flyer. But I do sometimes wash down a couple of diphenhydramine tablets with a glass of wine for a bit of sleep if it's the right time. And I enjoy the little buzz on my way out.
don't fly nonstop, but just out of boredom and getting fidgety, not nervousness
benzos don't make me sleepy, benadryl and drinking help a little bit
uhhhh if you can score some olanzapine, it's OK but you'll be hungover and I like having my wits about me when I land
bring a couple of books, rotate when one bores you
Hi anons

Thanks buddies
Anyone recommend a good happy ending massage place in NYC metro area? I see a lot of ads but these pics are clearly models from some other site. Not looking for a miracle, just a young, passable girl.
Been thinking about traveling to Uganda
>Beautiful nature
>Sort of functioning country
>Relatively cheap accommodation I gather
Anyone been? Advice?
>>1263203
It's not cheap at all.
Uganda opted for the big price + fewer tourists model rather than the cheap + thousands of backpackers approach
Hey guys, wanting to go to Thailand soon. I hear you get treated amazing and the food/resorts are great and cheap. I was just wondering if anyone had any experiences good or bad and any advice on where to start. Thanks in advance!
Elaborate a little bit. Where to? Bangkok? Phuket? Krabi? Chiang Mai?
>>1263205
I dunno. Maybe everywhere. That's kinda of what I was hoping. Any advice on where to go or what to do there.
Hey /trv/!
I'll be wrapping up college over the summer by late August, and I'd like to go do some travelling afterwards. Being from California, I'd love to finally see Yosemite State Park and maybe do a roadtrip up the Pacific Coast to Vancouver. Has anyone done this before? How much money did it cost and how long did it take you?
I'm going to Dubrovnik for a week with my family in like four hours, whats some fun shit to do?

nice trips btw
PASSPORT VALIDITY
I'm a US passport holder with only four months validity left, resident in the EU. Flying in the next couple of days transit back to the USA, Madrid to Cairo with Aegean, then switching over to Turkish Airlines for the flight to Chicago. Aegean and Turkish both tell me "no problem" with going back on transit only (and Turkish told me I could go into Cairo, "no problem") , but some people on a travel forum say I need a passport with 6 months validity.
Anyone here had any experience traveling on a passport with less than 6 months validity? Suggestions, please.

If that's the *official policy* from the airlines (and the country in question), you should be ok. Double check policies on the airline websites and the immigration department / home affairs office to make certain, though. Otherwise skip the vacation and fly back direct to Burgertstan.
>>1262738
You need to check Timatic for each leg to be sure. Unfortunately free timaticweb access is no longer a thing directly but it can be indirectly accessed from some airline sites etc. This might help, although it's a bit old:
http://millionmilesecrets.com/2014/08/12/will-you-need-a-visa-this-free-tool-tells-you-quickly/
Regardless of what the call centre worker told you- if the check in agent's Timatic terminal says no, you won't be allowed to fly.
idgi are you worried about passport validity for transit?
i mean, worst case they send you back home, and you want to go home anyway.
just make sure you have the whole trip printed out. twice. or three copies. idk just have all the tickets/boarding cards with you, it should be good.
