Does anyone have tips for getting up to Oregon to see the eclipse in August?
I forgot it was even happening but I am desperate to witness it in it's total eclipse path. At this point I think my best option to drive up to a National forest (likely Umatilla) and camp my ass there for a few days because traffic and general services are predicted to be totally broken all around Oregon.
Does anyone have experience with dispersed camping in OR's national forests? I can't figure out where I'm allowed to leave a vehicle for days at a time. Definitely willing to park my car and hike in.
The other option is taking a train to some population center like Bend and illegally bumming around because anything (including airbnb and people's front yards) is totally booked.
I'm planning a trip around West Coast USA, taking in San Francisco, LA, Seattle, and a few more places if possible and I'll be in the US this August. Does anyone know which are the best places to visit and stay around the west coast? I'd really appreciate any of your advice.
Hey OP, California native checking in.
The whole state is really worth seeing and very beautiful. Lots of diverse geography and towns here. I would personally recommend Santa Cruz as being a really unique place to stop and check out. Great mix of redwood forests, surf town, and a college town.
For nature, Big Sur is hard to beat. It's just insanely majestic. My Shasta & Humboldt country is pretty amazing too.
For Oregon, check out Ashland. Sweet little town, lots of vibe to it. Of course Eugene & Portland are great too.

>santa cruz
lol. i live 20 minutes from santa cruz, it's a boring shithole full of vapid pretentious trustifarian pseudohippie faggots.
heading to new york in october but i want to pick a good week. any suggestions? festivals? events?
which week in october would be best to visit ny?
next month i am taking my first international flight in 10 years.
i will be travelling with a relative on united (just the two of us in economy class), what are the odds we will be seated next to some random person?, this is going to be so awkward and uncomfortable.
There's 3 seats in economy so of course you'll be next to a random person. But on the other hand, just download the app so you can choose the seats and be seated next to each other.
is the philippines dangerous right now? is there a list of areas affected eother by civil war, kidnappings, or vigilante violence? (or gang activity masquerading as vigilantes)
not making a poliyical statement. i just wanna know if cops are gonna shake me down or if gang members are gonna plant shit on me for a reward. i plan on bring 100% squeaky clean, but sometimes there are just bad times to visit
anyone happen to know?
i guess i was interested in palawan, cebu, and the visayas.
but i heard luzon is a hotbed for kidnappings even though it is mostly christian
any info or links are appreciated
bumpity
the south has islamic seperatists (who's faction name is, i swear to god, MILF), and it's a bad time to be caught smuggling drugs, but in general, no, it's not unsafe. i'm confident enough in the safety there that i'm entirely unconcerned about my wife and here sister flying to cebu in 3 days.

i can recommend pingyao and zhangjiajie in particular.
My wife is Israeli but recently got her American citizenship. We want to go on a trip to Dubai. She has a first and last name that is OBVIOUSLY jewish.
Will this be a problem? Will they give us any hassles because of this?

>Current Residence: Brooklyn, NYC
>Occupation: solider
Hmm. Good luck sir.
I don't think it will technically be a problem, for all the shit jews fet about greed the Arabs in Dubai aren't above it themselves. You're going there to spend cash, they'll take it, and take the opportunity to show you that the Emirates is superior to Israel.
Being jewish is not a problem, being Israeli is. Should be fine with a US passport. Don't take my word for it, let us know how it went.
Why doesn't she have your last name? Are jewish women really that stubborn?
God, I hope at least your kids grow up to form their own opinions about religion. Eat that pork while you still can.
Sorry for asking this.
Does anyone have that "book" that someone released here about Russia and the major cities?
I lost it :( and wanted to have it again.
Hello /trv/, I am currently planning for a trip to Japan in a few months during the winter. I would like to ask, how do I smuggle Hentai Doujins back to my home country of Malaysia without arousing suspicion? Bonus question: Where can I buy anime figures for cheap in Osaka?
>>1274601
I guess you could hide them in other books, so it just looks uniform with the pages. Maybe hollow out an old unimportant ledger and stuff them all in there. Try and make it as flush as possible, so as to not arose suspicion. Just imagine what these things look like on a scanner, and go from there. Heres a fancy No-fly list link for you http://snallabolaget.com/how-to-get-illegal-items-through-the-airport-3/ to help.
anybody have a clue how to find drug dealers in Ibiza ?
Are you joking?
They'll come to you.
>>1274587
Ibiza anon here
For weed you should go to chirincana in Es Canar, right next to the camping. You will find a bunch of washed out hippies there that can hook you up.
For coke, Calle de la Virgen in Ibiza city. You will be offered some.
For molly and whatnot, you will get offered inside the clubs.
Can anybody translate this to french? I was too drunk(still am desu) and I blew it with this perfectly fine girl

Hey je voulais juste m'excuser pour ce que j'ai pu dire où faire la nuit dernière. J'étais trop bourré pour me rendre compte de ce que je faisais et j'ai du pas mal te faire chier...
Wait for her response, maybe it wasn't too bad and it's still salvageable
When is a good age to stop traveling and star a business in your hometown?
Pic of my legs when I was leaving Guatemala.
>>1274485
There isn't a good age to stop traveling. Once you've settled down, your already dead. Go ahead, have a few kids, make up your retirement plan, visit a few familiar places every couple years. The best years are already behind you.
so im going to cuba next month. santa clara specifically, what kind of critters they got on those beaches? I'm hoping for at least some Atlantic mole crabs
I'm thinking of going to the Amalfi coast next year with my family (partner and two kids, 5 and 1) is this a good idea? Is it family friendly in that the kods wont be bored constantly or should we go somewhere else. Have my heart set on Italy.
Its got to be easy to walk around with two young kids and a pram possibly and safety is important too so I dont have third world retards looking for money or trying to mug me. So avoid Rome and Napoli etc
>>1274449
1) is this a good idea?
yes
>>1274498
Why? Will there be activities or attractions to enertain my children?
>>1274609
Not that same dude, but I don't think Italy is the way to go.
I've been there twice and frankly I see Italy as a food and art kinda place. I think your kids will be hot, bored and tired of all the walking. If you're using a stroller you'll hate the stairs everywhere.
Go with your kids when they're older and can appreciate it.
Where are you from?
I'll be around today if you have more questions
Peace
I'm staying awhile in the south of Italy, in a smaller city not too far from Napoli. I'm dying to go dancing but it seems like Italians barely dance, and if they do it's for sex. Perhaps it's a cultural thing? Should I just give up?
this image is sad
>>1274407
italian here.
I suppose you can find dance lovers in no-commercial clubs.
A lot of people (I'd say 90% of the male) go to "dance" just to be drunk and pick up some cuties.
You should try to find some good clubs with good music (electronic, house.. I dunno).
Good luck!
