Hi, hope everyone's doing well. I am planning to move to NZ in a few weeks using pvt Visa. The city I will settle is Tauranga. If you are from NZ or ever been to for about a year I have a few questions for which I've been unable to get the answers on regular forums.
First how hard is it to get drugs on the island? I'm thinking about weed but also class-a shits like Molly or lsd and what prices. Are cops okayish with weed or no?
Also is Tauranga really a nice place? Saw it was growing fast and busy on the economic level. I wonder if there are any other nice places with warm weather and business opportunities.
Thanks for the answers, here is a kiwi.

Hey bro!
I'm a kiwi, but I live in Wellington.
Taurangas a nice place, it's a small city, even in NZ terms. I don't think I would live there personally.
In terms of drugs, they're relatively easy to acquire once you have a connection, which shouldn't be too hard to find.
Weed, meth and Molly are reasonably easily to get, LSD can be more difficult, though it is available.
Cops generally don't give a shit about weed, but I wouldn't walk past one smoking a joint. That being said, I've never heard of anyone getting charged for it.
Other drugs they will charge you.
When I was in NZ, man told me to go to Tauranga because it was "The Riviera of New Zealand"
He wore coveralls and drive a lifted 4x4 diesel van, so he was clearly a man of impeccable taste and breeding.
(In all seriousness it's a nice place, though. I liked the art market on the pier)
>>1220584
I'm a kiwi.
Generally cops won't give a fuck about weed unless you are selling it. Saying that some cops are just dicks. Lsd is usually between 35 and 45 nzd a tab. I'm from Christchurch but I don't live there anyore. But chirstchurch is booming. Maybe worth a look
Whats the best site for a nudist vacation? I really want to go somewhere where I can spend a few weeks and not need to take anything with me. Any ideas?
A potato for your troubles, since obviously I can't post pic related.
>>1220560
>I really want to go somewhere where I can spend a few weeks and not need to take anything with me. Any ideas?
Don't forget sunscreen/sun cream. Anyway, my vote is for Koktebel', Crimea.
>>1220573
People also love Cap d'Agde in southern France someplace, but I've never been, and I think it's all clubs to which you need to apply rather than a big public beach.
You still need to wear clothes and have belongings for the majority of time, you dense mongoloid.
Thinking of going with my wife and 2 kids to Malaga for 2 wks. I thought I'd book a place with airbnb either in Malaga or a nearby smaller town and do some beach time and some travel time to near attractions.
Any tips? Things you'd recommend seeing or doing? Safety advice?
>>1220546
Why Málaga? If you have not yet decided on it, I would consider maybe Cádiz, much prettier city and you would still have access to the sea. Staying on a smaller nearby coastal town is not a bad idea if you want to avoid sub-par beaches (city beaches tend to be dirty and overcrowded in summer).
>Things you'd recommend seeing or doing?
Day trip to Granada is a must. Book your ticket to the Alhambra in advance, because it is something that everydoby should see before they die. Córdoba is also a solid day trip, the old town with the mosque, the roman bridge, the white jewish neighbourghood and the patios are all lovely. Sevilla deserves more than one day IMO but it's also an option.
Food is great there. Be sure to try the local stuff: espetos, ajoblanco, salmorejo, gazpacho, and any kind of fried fish and seafood. Do yourself a favour and stay away from paella, tapas and sangria menus.
>Safety advice?
You'll be fine, Spain is one of the safest countries in the world. Chances are that wherever you come from is more dangerous than here.
Don't stay on the sun at midday, it gets unbearably hot. Do like the locals and take your time for eating, maybe even do a small siesta.
>>1220557
Malaga because of cheap flights because of family is a larger expense than solo.
Alicante is another cheap option, but had not researched the area yet.
Thanks for the great tips around the area and food :) I also wanted to see Gibraltar, would you recommend for a visit?
I'll most probably be renting a car, any tips for the roads? Do you pay toll?
>>1220546
>>1220546
Don't stay in Malaga itself. Thankfully, the airport has it's own train station. Head along the coast to Benalmadena or Fuengirola (30min train journey) from there you can go a bit inland to Mijas (nice little mountain village), explore the towns. If you want to do some day trips, get back on the train, go to main station in malaga and hit up some of the inland villages and towns. Ronda is especially beautiful. Can also get to Seville and maybe even Granada if you want more day trips.
Is it possible to do this? What kind of bag is best, and any tips for packing? Will be staying 2-3 nights at a time in hotels around Italy, not cooking, will have laundry access.
I almost always use only a carry on. I've got a 40 liter bag with an 18 liter daypack I roll up and bring along for just in case.
Laundry services are common and cheap just about everywhere these days. Any good hostel will have dishes and cookware to use.
As for packing, google how to ranger roll.
wtf are u kidding me. I use carry-on for anything less than 2 months. wtf u need, socks, underwear and washing gear. maybe two shirts. done and done.
Absolutely provided you aren't buying any bulky souvenirs.
https://youtu.be/LIk8v__Osm8?t=77
Do this for your pants, and roll all your other clothes. Wear your jacket (put it on your lap in the plane to use as a blanket). The hardest part is making sure you have enough liquids, since it all has to fit in your carry-on bag. If you want to pack on the heavier side, you can take a bag that fits the size of a personal item (check your airline for this) and stuff it with more clothes too. You can pack a huge amount of stuff like this, but test it out beforehand to make sure you can fit everything you'll need.
Hi guys!
I really want to visit subantarctic islands of New Zealand (especially Campbell island), but officail tours are so damn expensive. $5000+ for a person for few hours on the island itself.
My dream is to stay there for 2 days with a tent, but it seems barely possible, so one whole day will be great too.
So if there is somebody from NZ here or who traveled to that part of the world, could you please tell me any cheaper ways to get to these islands? Like some local tours or hiring a boat.
This is the saddest rock I've ever seen
>>1220501
>Oh, o-okay....
>>1220486
Why not build your own boat out of wood and just throw there you can get everything you need at the hardware store and cover it with tar. Bring a radio if you think the Coast Guard will come save you but you probably won't sink
Ladies, if you don't wanna have a bad time searching for a toilet while travelling, try this handy device. The ability to pee standing up fills you with determination .

im in barcelona for the first time anyone sellin hash or weed around here ? ive read about some pot clubs but i dont think ill be able to join im at Hotel Moderno theres some bike shop across this place thanks
>>1220193
You can get hash from the paki guys selling cans of beer past midnight. Shit, you're staying in the Raval and right next to Las Ramblas, you should be able to get anything between hash, coke, M, your dick sucked or shanked.
dauym thanks , no gettin it durin daytime tho i assume ?
>pic - where im at
>>1220201
You could try in one of these legal pot clubs, but they all require you to know someone who's already a member of said club and some of them need you to be staying in Barcelona (they don't ask for proof of residence so it's easy to bullshit your way through though).
Should be easy enough to get it from the guys selling beer though. Don't be afraid to haggle though, they can see your tourist ass coming from miles, and ask to see the stuff first obv. If you want, post here if you don't manage to find anything though, I'm a member of a club and can get you inside if you need to.
Hi /trv/,
Next month I'll be going to Kiev and I do want to see Chernobyl/Pripyat. Have anybody gone on them here? I need some informations, mainly concerning:
- Prices
- Best companies
- How much in advance should I make the reservation
Been there. Make the reservation at least 2 weeks in advance to be safe. That's not a travel company thing, but a permission thing from the military.
>>1219876
I still didn't make the reservation of my hostel in Kiev. Can I make it and ask for the staff for arrange this to me?
Just got back from Kiev.
Stayed in DREAM and Elements hostels. They both had flyers up where they'd arrange Chernobyl tours if you requested it. Also had a shooting/tank driving tour. Prices were somewhere in the area of $150. I think DREAM would be better if you wanted to request the tours through the hostel.
It's my first time flying, I'll be alone and it's an international trip. I'm going to Spain, but my first stop in Europe will be Switzerland for a connecting flight. How does customs work exactly? Do I have to go through security in both countries? I heard you only have to go though customs in the first country you arrive in that's part of the Schengen zone, but I've also heard the exact opposite. I'm an autistic NEET, guys, I don't know what I'm doing.
Switzerland is part of Schengen but not EU. You will go through passport control in Switzerland. You may be checked at customs in both countries but not very likely unless you look like a drug dealer.
Why are you traveling if you have no income? Meeting a girl off 4chan?
>>1218620
>I'm an autistic NEET, guys, I don't know what I'm doing.
You're in the right place.
>>1218629
There should be an international transfers line that you just walk through and don't go through customs and security again - from a realistic point of view it's pointless.
I did an international transfer at Ataturk in Istanbul.
>>1218629
Meeting a girl, but not off 4chan.
I'm thinking about moving into a van full full time. I hate paying rent, and spend most of my time at my computer desk so why pay for what I don't need. Plus I can just get up and go whenever I get bored.
Anyone that has done this with stories to tell? How was it? Which vehicle do you recommend? I was looking at VW Vanagons but I hear they break down all the time.
Here's a few details...
>Live in Toronto
>Have $14,000
>Want a retro hispter 1988 Dodge Ram van
>Want Dickinson propane fireplace
>Want to be able to play a PS4
>Want 12v fridge
>Want 3x100w solar panels
>Want 255 amp hour AGM battery
>Want Pioneer stereo deck with GPD/backup came LCD
Thoughts?
Vanagons don't necessarily breakdown all the time, but when they do it'll cost you an arm and a leg. They also have a higher initial investment because they're popular with trustafarians. Since you're a Canadafag, there's some Japanese options available to you, but again demand and parts make them more expensive.
As far as dollars for space and ease of maintenance stick to Ford or GM. An Econoline or G-Series is way bigger and parts are way cheaper. There's literally thousands of websites and videos about building out Econolines.
>>1219694
14k is not nearly enough for a good westfalia.
I live the life you are contemplating.
Its fucking awesome.
300 watts will do all you ask in the southwest of america and mexico.
Canada?
In the summer maybe.
Get a backup inverter generator.
If you have full time digital employment then dont cheap out.
If 14k is all you have in the world then get an old school bus.
Which Japanese options are these out of curiosity. I don't intend on going down this route if the parts are scarce and expensive, but I'm interested
Also, didn't think Fords were good options. I hear they have a knack for breaking down as well.
Was looking at some of those Chevy G20 conversions. Definitley digging the vibe of those vehicles. Interior decor is very hippie with those colords leather seats and carpeting. The wooden dashboards above are also beautiful.
I don't see any 19 footer options though. I was sold on getting one. The ability to stand up is was one of the bigger selling points for me, but still, readily available parts and ease of maintenance is of utmost importance. If I'm going to live in this thing, I need to know I won't have to scavenge very often to keep it running.
Also, it's specifically because I live in Canada that I need as many panels as I can get my hands on. I realize I'll need to ditch some of the more power hungry appliances to make it work such as blender, microwave etc. Which I think I can manage just fine. Might force me to be a little more health conscious.
Also, thoughts on a Pickup truck with a cabover camper attached?
What do you usually pack (as far as toiletries go)?
Does it depend on the length of your trip?
>>1219284
blade for shaving is a must, as well as the hairbrush. Toothpaste is important, soap is very nice. The rest is just obsolete
It depends on where I'm going, but a lot of times I'll just buy toiletries when I get there. With all the airport restrictions I'd have to buy everything travel-sized anyway.
>>1219284
>Does it depend on the length of your trip?
Actually yes. Sometimes I buy full size shampoo, body wash, etc while I'm there, if it's lengthy.
I pack my daily routine, adding in some sunscreen and body powder that I wouldn't ordinarily use daily. I might maybe add something spa-like such as a trial size of a mud mask, serum, bubble bath, or minty foot rub to enjoy one night. Sometimes I'll pick up luxury things in the airport during a connection if TSA still isn't an issue, such as at L'Occitane. I pack a loofah glove or sheet if I'm going somewhere there aren't always washcloths, because the plastic dries fast. I love "Olay cleansing cloths" in a small ziploc. These are dry soap impregnated folded paper washcloths, which are great inflight. Hit them with hot water, use them in the bathroom, and then rinse them out, and use them to rinse your face as well.
So i want to travel a few of the states, im from the UK, im not a muslim so that joke can go out the window. My question is...
How much do you think i need to save to be able to have a good time, for say a month?
Hostels...cheap buses etc
Hostels are not very common in the US except for a few cities on the west coast and in Alaska.
A dirty motel room will run you $50-60 a night most places or a decent chain motel will cost $80-100 a night.
Your best bet is couch surfing or airbnb a room.
>>1218586
Bear in mind that if you aim to do it 'so cheap' that you have questionable funds with you the immigration desk may frown upon that and especially since you plan to stay for a month, consider taking evidence of where you will be able to stay for so little and the bus tickets and plans etc
>>1218708
And make sure to bring an itinerary with proof of onward travel or a return ticket.
Wanting to move to Canada after I've finished uni here in Scotland. No clue what it's really like though other than america without having to be in/ deal with america stuff. What's it like day to day?
also very interested. American with BFA looking to acquire MFA
>>1217429
What do you mean what is it like? Its cold in the winter, there's very little culture, if you don't want to work in a blue collar industry you will have to live in GTA or Vancouver. But it's a beautiful country, and people and nice. I dunno what else to say.
>>1217433
like i see it as a lovely place with good wildlife and all that. No cunty politicians more laid back etc. I've got the tourist stereotype, whats canada really like to live in
I plan to travel to Amsterdam with my girlfriend in April for 4 days. Any tips/warning? Is the Amsterdam City Card worth it? Any lowkey cool places to check out?
What would be the most cost effective option of accommodation bearing in mind that we want some privacy (at least own room)
Any info is appreciated.
>>1217261
Airbnb. Netherlands has the densest population per square meter of actual nations. Expect to pay out of the ass for hotels.
Tips: You can smoke weed everywhere, don't unnecessarily stay in shitty coffee shops while you can just enjoy smoking a joint while sitting next to a canal.
Don't be the cliche tourist that smokes weed/drinks alcohol/takes shrooms all at the same time. This is not homegrown US shit. This is industrial genetic engineered shit to be as powerful as possible you WILL black out/faint/die.
There are certain cases when you want to buy the card, other times you don't.
If you visit at least one museum per day, then it's already well worth it.
If you use public transport a lot, it might also worth it.
If you just end up staying in the centre, not going to musea and also no trams, then don't buy it.
I don't think Airbnb is worth it for 2 ppl, but if you find a good deal now, book it.
Also in general, book anything already, Amsterdam fills up, and you don't want to resort to five star hotels or 10+ bed dorms that are left.
I think you might still have a chance to find something via booking.com.
It's the home of booking.com, so you'll find everything there.
>>1218093
I'm dutch. Please don't smoke everywhere in the city, thats the most touristy thing to do. People have to live/shop/work there, smelling weed smoke everywhere is irritating. Just be discrete.
>>1218184
Don't use public transport, rent a bike ffs. If you're staying in the city for four days, you can cycle everywhere.
Arizona checking in. Couple of my friends rant and rave about colorado. When i ask them about it they mostly just tell me about the hiking and breweries. Im convinced they just go there cuz its 80 bucks from phoenix to Colorado round trip. I guess i dont see anything it has that other AZ doesnt. Am i wrong? Is it worth visiting and if so what should i checkout there?
Califag here.
Colorado was chill. I liked the brews and mountains. Even if Cali has better brews generally huehue. Its not a meme. Dunno how these compare to those of Arizona.
Colorado is pretty good for ski bumming although Cali can be too.
I've been to 48 states and it's my favorite. Beautiful, friendly, interesting. Easy to show up in town and leave with a dozen friends.
>>1216931
Depends on where you go. If you're not into skiing and you go to a ski-town, you will hate everyone.
High concentration of weedlmao douchebags who recently moved from other states. Beautiful landscapes though. The cities are chill.
