First off, you need to get checked for autism. They have treatments now. Second, it's final fantasy with a lot of characters. You need people to be visually distinct instead of monster apocalypse camo spurdo academy. In-world wise it's because of fallout from the color war and the color nazi's jihad to destroy all emotion and expression.

We don't have Monty's notes but I'm pretty sure him.

The entire purpose of SSSN who was originally the buddy team and later JNPR who stole their role was to be characters that Monty could destroy to drive home the end of the peaceful school life at the end of his prologue.

Yeah, they got a bigger render farm and the new choreographer should be settled in so the fights shouldn't be as stupid as the trailer, hopefully he'll get them to stop the speed line shit, their pipeline is tighter than ever with more staff using an actual animation program with a larger render farm so there should be less production issues.

They were originally a very small team. They were using poser because muh god emprah monty oum demands it instead of a real animation program. They didn't really have a production pipeline in place so making the show was all kinds of retarded. They often had to wait until off hours and borrow other RT hardware to render because they just didn't have the juice. Monty shoving shit in last minute or making plot changes when the mood hits him like wanting the dance scene. RT being immature petty spergs and doing shit like penny's beam slice of the bullhead specifically to thumb their nose at monty. General growing pains that come from turning an idea into a real show. Volumes 1 and 2 were originally supposed to be one volume but basically reality and delays split it.

Basically, RT and everything involved in rwby is a hot mess but they're getting through it.

I think Salem's situation is parallel to TGWP's Malkuth.
She's the source/creator/whatnot of the Grimm, but she can't directly control them because of plot reasons. Hence why she has to rely on agents like Cinder to set up the nations to fall to a simply mindless horde.
If she had direct control over the Grimm, wouldn't it be trivial to bulldoze the kingdoms with sheer numbers alone? They might be located in defensive chokepoints, but Grimm dominate literally every other area of the entire world. Geoff would occasionally make sarcastic comments about RWBY/anime as a whole, mostly tongue-in-cheek, but the whole animu culture department has/had just wasn't his thing.

The guy made a living off of making video game characters talk to one another and now gets paid to play video games badly for viewers, as well as shit like DnD. He doesn't judge them.
