Q: I'm a total beginner. Where should I start?
A: Do the exercises in either "Keys to Drawing" by Bert Dodson or "Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain" by Betty Edwards. Additionally, you can try the first few lessons of http://drawabox.com/ for building up muscle memory and confidence.
It's just a quick drawing that I haven't cleaned up yet, but is this sort of quality acceptable?
Would you play a game that has graphics like this, or is it not good enough?

How do I make this fappable?
Just a WIP but I would like some feedback on it. Also I wish I knew how to draw faces.
As other anon pointed out, it's rather stiff

I know but this isn't exactly telling me what I need to fix.

It's a WIP, they will be thinner in the final version.
thoughts? areas for improvement? especially struggling with making cell shading look appealing.
I think what they mean by stiffness is that, it's not showing a lot of movement. Both legs are in the same position, as one needs to be a bit more fluid, try tp copy what the character is doing and you'll see what you don't understand; you start to get more variable ways to do that one position.
if anything, she is to off model. She should be more geometric everywhere except her hips, her flat top head isn't flat enough her legs should be a simple curve and her tits should look more angular, also they look as if they were sustained by an invisible bra.
I don't know where else to post this, so I'll post it here.
I made a pixel art version of the Jazz pattern. It's also tileable.
I tried to add some shading, but it never came out quite right.

Less symmetry, less straight lines
Here's a picture to illustrate my point, but don't rely on it too much, it's a quickie and I'm far from being competent (I know for sure that there are people lurking in this thread who can easily my version too), but hopefully this will point the direction. Better yet, just practice gesture drawing.
Maybe determine the "nature" of her levitation and grab an appropriate reference (woman floating underwater, woman relaxing on a bean bag, Storm from X-Men comics, etc.)

Because Total Shit Island and anything else made by those Canadians are utter shit. Shit character designs, fucking ugly artstyle, shit everything else. It's objectively bad.
