>Artist is younger than you and draws better than you.
THIS SHIT IS MY POISON
>>11589324
>artist is younger than you
>is infected with the "he/him/himself etc..." bullshit
>has some random sexuality
I'm fine if you can draw and shit, but at least have a fucking reasonable way to present yourself
>Artist is younger than you and draws
>Writer is younger than you and writes
>Cook is younger than you and gets paid to cook
>People a decade younger than you already know what to do with their lives and are working towards it
>People do things and you don't
>>11589324
>artist is much younger than you
>cute style, appealing colors, but
>draws one pose perfectly, and nothing else
>watch as they shoot past 30,000 followers, even though they've uploaded one thing in the past month
>artist draws furry
>is an exceptionally talented artist
why
If you have talent
why
>>11589324
>been trying to git gud as an artist for the past 4 years
>constant setbacks with health (physical and mental)
>other artists flying past me in progress over this time
it's a special kind of hell
>>11589421
>why
>If you have talent
>why
Because boring normalfags like you don't deserve good art.
>>11589365
>>11589324
>artist has a blog, brownie points if on Tumblr
>"before you follow.." is full of inane bullshit
>artist doesn't have a proper tag/page for his/her art so you have to dig through the blog just to find art
>artist rants more about politics 24/7 more then drawing on their art tumblr
Just draw you stupid fuck.
>when some talentless prick copies something straight off the internet and everyone looks at him like he painted the Mona Lisa
>when you are struggling to learn how to draw yourself from the basics no one even bothers to care about how your progression is going and how much you struggle
>>11589473
I'm not a furry but I look into it out of morbid curiosity, I see lackluster artists pulling $500 a comission, jesus christ guys unfuck yourself.
>>11589324
It hurts a lot but you need to not let it get to you.
Comparing yourself to other artists in this way is ultimately detrimental to your growth as an artist yourself.
Learning is more important.
>>11589558
Good point
>>11589421
It's like people do what they want to do.
It's almost like nearly everyone in the whole world not only doesn't give a fuck what you want or think, but also doesn't even think about you ever.
Who are you that you get to decide what medium is superior to another? What makes you think that you get to make the decision of what someone should be doing with themselves?
Tell me, what should these exceptional artists be doing instead?
>>11589324
I hate this too
>>11589324
>artist dies
>>11589324
>writer made a name for themselves and won awards since you stopped writing
I just... I think I'm legit better than some of them. Or at least just as shitty. I just never believed in myself the way they do.
>>11589543
>I'm not a furry but...
It's OK, bro. Eventually you'll admit it to yourself. Took me a while, too.
>>11589500
>artist is a known tracer
>practically makes thousands of dollars off tracing
>is found out, unapologetically continues to trace and not care
>people commission and subscribe to their patreon despite knowing this
I think the only thing the jews have on me is that they have no soul.
>>11595650
Jews are the worst CCs
>>11589324
I have this weird hangup where I can't enjoy Youtube videos if they are made by someone younger than me.
Because it feel like being schooled by your little brother.
>>11589324
>Have crippling motivation issues
>lose all progress after making great strides in something after not doing it for a few months
>get demotivated and quit again
>cycle repeats
>your peers surpass you
Being a creative is hard.
>>11599878
>adopt a regular exercise routine, even if it's just walking for 30 minutes a day
>stop eating so much sugar
>wake up the same time every day.
Seriously, try doing those three things for a week and see if your creativity is affected.
>>11589410
>You are the unquestionable best in the world at your art form
>Your art form is lowbrow enough that being virtuostic at it isn't even noticed
>you will never get the recognition you deserve because you're only good at creating, not marketing yourself
>>11599878
This.
It hurts when you can never find someone to push you to do better and motivate you to keep going.
>>11594614
did they at least deserve it
>>11589435
My man
>>11599878
This. It feels bad when even some of your idols have noticed your art and you let them down by not doing anything for months on end...
>see those artists from highschool who just use other art as reference and claim it as their own
>can't into form, anatomy, and perspective because all they do is symbol drawing
>they have a large instagram following
>they make more money than they should from it
I'm both jealous and appalled. Why do normies buy into it?
>artist is younger than you and draws better than you
>artist also has a life, friends, and is generally a very nice and well adjusted individual
life isnt fair why isnt everyone as miserable as me
>>11589324
>person has skill you want to have because they put more work into developing it
>shitpost on furry trash heap board instead of practicing said skill
>>11603464
This hit too close to home
practice
you know, every single one of these "artist does *blank*" threads just boil down to being unhappy with your own life and constantly comparing yourself to others or just generally finding a need to tear other people down in order to make yourself feel better
one of the greatest skills ever is to be able to find happiness in your own life, try and work on it sometime
>artist gets worse over time
>>11607912
Even worse
>artist gets better but art just turns less and less appealling/erotic or fetishes get worse
I'm Artiiiist
>>11607672
>just generally finding a need to tear other people down in order to make yourself feel better
Not really, majority of the time people won't even bother to name a specific artist. The only people I see get teared down are artists with a history of being well known dicks.
>one of the greatest skills ever is to be able to find happiness in your own life, try and work on it sometime
Do they hand out trophies, awards, or money for finding happiness? No? Seems like a useless "skill" to me.
