I have both, the Gameboy is actually sort of bland and lame (especially the Autobot version, the Decepticon one at the very least has some interesting colors to it) but basically all three versions of the flip cellphone are brilliant. Do you even know how a prototype is supposed to work? It's meant to be a proof of concept, as in, it has to settle the core principles that will develop into a final worthwhile product. Think of it as looking at the maquette for the house you're building, for example. As such, if the basic architecture for this figure already looks like utter fucking garbage and therefore fails as a proof of concept, then embellishing it with a pretty paintjob is not going to do it any favors. You have to be really deluded to think the final figure is somehow going to fix all the terrible design choices that were taken forward in this prototype.

Orion is a pickup truck who becomes a tractor trailer, and Hot Rod is a convertible that becomes a winnebego, so it seems like the Prime version of a vehicle is some kind of maximized version of their original altmode with a battle platform of some kind. POTP focuses on their original altmode merging with their Prime mode too.

I guess Arcee could be a Mom van like people are suggesting and her girly space convertible could snap into the underside of the van. Or maybe a schoolbus. She could also be something like Energon Towline. Other than doing something like that idk how you add the battle platform element.

Is TR Megatron any good? Optimus?

I don't mind the weak paint apps on Megs, I can just go in with a mechanical pencil or something for that.

Megatron is good

Optimus is iffy, the box set version is the True version of the mold and the extra paint applications show. The general release version is rather lacking and I've just been using it as an extra body for more deserving titan masters.

I really like the Optimus mold; it honestly might be my favorite Optimus besides maybe the MP. He's got a lot of heft to him and the headsculpt is fantastic. I have the retail version though; while I would have preferred the boxed set version it doesn't seem worth the $100.

Megatron is okay too I guess, but the plastic color and stickers clash. Both the altmodes are really fun but the robot mode is a little funky.

I will say this is not weak paint. It's tough and thankfully won't catch fingerprints. So far, the only scuffs are on the inside of the chest, namely around the shoulders. I think that in due time, the area around his head transformation will be the biggest blemish, but after a lot of transforming, nothing has scraped. I am incredibly careful though, and I know there were cases of the original MP Primal having scratches out of the box, so it almost seems like a crapshoot.

I'd say if you are okay with any other MPs that totally paint coated, then you'll be fine with him. If he's your first, then just know he feels way more like a display piece than a toy, and would best be treated like one.

Since when? I'm a bit behind (only up to a bit after TR) and I don't recall her ever identifying as male outside of when she actually WAS male. The only thing they ever covered was her adjusting to being female now and the concept of transformers having genders to begin with because Cybertron hadn't seen genders since the other Titans left. At no point did she ever state she still identified as male and after she killed Jhiaxus and stated to calm down a bit, she even started to get more comfortable with her new identity now that her vengeance had been enacted and she was finding her place on the team.
