I'm fine with stickers for added details, but making the faction symbols stickers too is fucking stupid.

Remember Reveal the Shield? Remember how we used to have a line where EXTRA effort was put into the faction symbols? Nowadays you have to pray for the toy to still have a symbol after two weeks of playing. Even the RID Stickers aren't this bad, at least they had proper indents in the mold.

PotP Rodimus Prime - excellent

PotP Optimus Prime- awful truck mode, passably okay cartoon Orion Pax even with a shit backpack and wrong alt mode, sort of acceptable large mode that looks like an MP Prime with extra kibble that's not super terrible, but really, that truck mode is absolute shit

This. "Prime Masters" are just terrible compared to Titan Masters. "Decoy Suits" are shit, especially compared to the TM's little vehicles. The Dinobots look like crap and so does Volcanicus. The robot mode looks like a perfectly normal figure. The arms and legs are well proportioned, the only remote kibble in beast mode is the hands, and for robot mode the kibble is where you'd expect it to be.

So am I the only one here who likes this thing? It looks surprisingly accurate to Optimal Optimus and I actually dig that design, and the gimmick is so retarded (Primal surfboard) that I just love it.

I already own every single version of Primal including the Masterpiece, so I'm OK with something different and outlandish like this. It just seems like a fun toy.

Shame that the upper legs don't collapse to shorten them in gorilla mode like the old toy (a transformation step not mentioned in the instructions that pretty much nobody ever seems to notice), but looks fine nonetheless.

No, you're not the only one. I think it's pretty awesome. I was wondering how they were going to fit Primal in with the rest of the G1 crew, and having the core bot forego the monkey alt-mode was a stroke of genius. It's a toy that works on multiple levels: core bot features a Cybertronian form that doubles as a surfboard callback for the armor, which has the beast aspect to it.

The core figure does look a bit too angular and the backpack is pretty big, but the combined mode looks damn good. Looks like the core figure combines with the armor for jet mode, if you really want to forego the monkey on the surfboard thing.

It's a shame there's no land mode, but whatever, this thing is cheeky as fuck and looks like a ton of fun.

Hun-Gurr looks like shit though, which is a shame. I knew it wasn't going to be a Grimlock retool.
