Yeah, they're all trans-medium blue, but the BTCs are made of a slightly different plastic than the head or cheese slopes so they glow a lot more brightly.

Bar is just trans-light blue and doesn't react to UV.

It was going to be cancelled but because of the 2017 wave which sold great they decided to go through 2018. The 2018 sets were finished around october 2016 as Mark Stafford stated on Eurobricks.

Damn, finding all these concept artworks amazing to look at. What book are they from? They just ooze with the designer's distinct roleplay passion. It's a shame that after years of development have resulted in diluted and generally safe final products. I randomly picked up an unopened Nexo Catapult from a charity shop for £2 and was surprisingly impressed by the design because the boxes look so dull imho.

Anyways I mentioned last thread that I finished painting this piece yesterday. I'd like to colour correct it but my laptop screen changes so much that I was painting a green sky for most of it.

Nexo shield emblems are pretty neat, we haven't had a theme with such a variety of printed tiles before. I found this site cataloguing them all, but I'd prefer a gallery with larger thumbs if anyone knows of them. Using the bricklink catalogue isn't much better.

This might be as old as 2009, they said they picked lava and rock monsters because the designers worked on Power Miners before or something like that.

Also, as much as I like the orcs and totally-not-necrons, it's pretty obvious GW would sue over these designs, and Lego probably went with more generic designs to avoid trouble. Note how the two distinctly warhammer-y fire monsters are nowhere the be found too.

I think the purple light brick is basically a UV LED. I just know that you can get a SET of light bricks from china for like $5 and it comes with like 7 different colors and a RGB brick. Also the LED plates you can get usually are just white LEDs, but im sure if you look you can find them in multiple colors. Hell, some of the sites/stores that make them might even do customs, but that might be a little more expensive. I will say, the LED plates, you WILL NOT find them much cheaper from china than you will from other sources, its one of the few things that are not cheaper coming from the land of no copyrights. My theory is they are all made by the same group in china probably. I know the guy on BL that sells them is based there, not sure about iBrick or some of the other companies. but I wouldnt be surprised if they were just middle men who source them from there.

As for the back of that building....

Walkways and scaffoldings man. I like the way they did it on ninjago city, using the jail doors for them, but I would add a railing to the design to make it a bit safer looking and to add to that somewhat wrought iron industrial aesthetic. Robot arms with bars are your friend for that.

That whole Black Knight line had such a great look (especially the minifigs). Too bad a lot of the sets had the ridiculous raised baseplates. Really ruined the set quality imo.

Lance vs. Lighting, I love the NK bigfigs but all the earlier sets with them were pretty bad (still got the cyclops separately, though). I really like the battlesuits, too - great basis for mecha mocs, torsos were always the thing I had trouble with if I didn't want to make something huge or incredibly flimsy.

Take one of those transparent 1x2 neck braces and place it in the front, then put appropriate circular studs or tiles on them. This'll give your klockettes some Duplo-sized cylindrical bricks.

I recently made an order on BL. The seller had 100% feedback from 1700+ orders. They sent an invoice the day after I ordered. I payed with in a couple of hours of getting the invoice and within an hour I got a message from them saying "thanks for the quick payment, if there are any problems, please feel free to contact me".
A few days later, once the payment had cleared, they shipped the order, once again sending a message to let me know and once again telling me to contact them if I have any questions, need help or have any problems. They also left positive feedback.
I planned on giving them positive feedback and a great comment, for what I consider to be really great service.
Now the orders came in today and it is missing a couple of things. Namely 6 weapons, totaling about $3.50.
As I said, so far they've provided excellent customer service and I did open the package in my car (to see what order it was that had arrived). However, I only opened the top, looked in, pulled out a business card and then partially resealed and sat it on my passenger seat. I didn't take anything out. I've also looked through my car and found no sign of them, but the possibility remains, that they may have been included and I lost them on my own.

I fear that if I say "Hey, the weapons were missing" and they give me a refund, I'll then find the parts in my car or something.

What should I do /lg/?
So should I contact them and see if this was an honest mistake on their part and the weapons were just left out by accident, or should I just say all's good and cut my loses?

Unfortunately all they managed to do was give us a (generally) lame build and two minifigures. They should really replace one of those little versus sets with a Chima-style tribe pack for the villains. Jestro's running around with hordes of cannon fodder monsters, after all.

Not sure why the City starters are so much better than Nexo Knights' or Ninjago's, they just are.

I was hoping to be able to afford the UCS Millennium Falcon when they rereleased it, but honestly it's so disappointing. The $300 price hike is not what I was expecting, I don't remember the old interior but the new design is unbelievably poor, and they fit so little detail into its massive piece count outside of mediocre greeble.

I've never gotten a UCS but there has been a huge drop in quality since the Slave 1 and coincidently or not the Disney take over. I'm still intrigued by a AT-AT at $200+ but can't trust Lego not to drop the ball at this point.

Exo Force was 90% shit and I'd rather just have two-three well-designed mechs per year in various themes like we do now. For the same reason I'm ok with fantasy themes like NK/Ninjago, since designers can do a lot of stuff that wouldn't sustain a full theme as part of them without ideas jumping the shark - a full dragon theme would end up boring within a year or two but stating with the ghost wave, Ninjago gave us one or two fantastic dragon builds per year.

Castle fantasy subtheme, it's a shame both of the castle lines we got since then were very boring outside of the blacksmith/peasant sets.

SPIII is my second fave and I really like recent robots and dragons from Ninjago a lot. NK has some pearls too, if it was released when I was a kid it'd be my favorite theme.

The human vehicles sucked but retro UFOs with horrified civilians were a fun concept. Early 2010s Lego had a lot of solid themes, really - Ninjago and NK are decent but I miss single wave original themes.

Funny enough this was the theme to pull be back into Lego. I'm a huge sucker for classic monsters, I ended up buying about half of the theme in the end. The Ghost Train is still one of the favorite sets.
