Thanks! It's an old steel oven, part of a large park. The steel company closed and the facilities for all the warehouses, ovens, chimneys, etc, were turned into a big ass park with restaurants, museums and a bunch of stuff. It's called "Parque Fundidora".

Those parts in the picture are the top of "Horno 3", which is pic related.

Here's what I'm building this afternoon. I don't know jack shit about 'Destiny' but it seemed like a good deal, so I bought it. As far as I'm concerned it a spaceship. SPACESHIP! I'M GONNA BUILD A SPACESHIP!!!

New general, alright! We weekly now boyos.

Just picked this up. The section of terrain is good for adding to my base, the zombie looks stellar, especially the head/helmet piece (all 1 piece but designed well).

I have to say tho, this brick quality didnt match the other cod sets i have, and the zombie's legs are not articulated (neither are his elbows or wrists). Not sure if it is an older set and thats the reason why. This will be a great asset for pictures but i have to be honest and say that it was 11.99 and it wasnt worth it. If i got this set for half price or if the figure had been fully articulated like the cod human figures it would be a lot easier to recommend.

Also, a lot of the figure is made from the brittle plastic that the new xeno claws are made of, so if you pick it up be careful when taking it apart or moving stuff around. The ray gun was a good bonus to throw in, its a little big but maybe its meant to represent a different crystallized weapon

I thought so at first sight, but checking on the details the new version is better. For inastance, the new version has a cabin that can move, like a trailer and seems bigger. Also the windsheld looks cooler. The wheels are what makes the old one look better, the way they connect to the body is cooler.

Picked this set up today. It's definitely a little large, but in hand it doesn't bother me much.

I've never bought any Mega vehicles but I've watched a lot of video reviews on them and I absolutely love all the details: exhaust pipes, undercarriage parts, an engine. It really ups the value and this set is no different.

Also the two figures are really nice. I love the general guy.

Hmm. That's a tough question. I recently got the Nightops Squad and it was surprising how good it is. The figures are great, the googles glow in the dark and the laser attachments work amazing.

The one you posted is definately a must, I only would have liked a bag with the parachute, something to pose him before jumping.

The gray container is good too. Recon Outpost is definately a must. I would recommend the jeep too, if you don't mind it being comically oversized. It's great for troop transport and can be used for any era really.

As many have said already, the marbling works great with what the sets are trying to achieve. It gives the builds texture and makes them look used. Jut compare the two in thr picture, they're similar but mega's marbling gives it the edge I think.

You're right! I built it and put it on the desk, but my cats kept fucking with the parachute so it went into a drawer. Forget my comments then, the paratrooper is one of my favorite new sets. Really inventive.

And yes the night ops sets is really good. When I saw the all black figures I thought they were going to be like seals bodies, but they're actually regular bodies all in black. Very usefull for part swapping too. Also, the 4 lenses head just look so nuts, I love them.

I agree with what others have said. For Lego's hyper-stylized aesthetic, the clean plastic works. For Mega's pseudo-realistic style, the little color inconsistencies really work.

Honestly, what it'll come down to is how you'll like it in person. Grab a Halo blindbag or one of the various Heroes figures (whether CoD, Halo or the new multi-line one with MOTU, Star Trek and Aliens) and see how you like them.

I picked up the new ODST pods today and while they're neat-looking and come with nice figs they feel a little bit lacking compared to the original pods. There's only one weapon and in the case of the sniper rifle there's no way to secure it in the pod. The original pods came with at least two weapons and a backpack and were able to stow them all securely. I know they went for the impact shooting the hatch off gimmick which is cool I guess, still prefer the old design though.

My first Mega set was the original Sniper drop-pod. Shit was tight

I picked this up today and it's making me want to scream.

While the mixed colors are kinda cool when it's all built, trying to figure out which is which when building is impossible. If there's one thing Mega could pick up from Lego, it's bagging the pieces in a reasonable way. I feel like Mega instructions kinda suck too. Not sure why or how exactly, but I find myself staring at them way too long before figuring out what it wants me to do.

In all seriousness, they're just 8x2 plates, and the 1x2x2 blocks, with your choice of barrels or sandbags in them. You just repeat the pattern as you go up, 3 sandbags = 1 barrel, so that's why I used them, plus in all the different colors they come in, it makes them look like varied commodities.

I decided to just go with the mask on Serpentor for consistency with my other Cobras, plus I just painted the fangs on the mask which was an easy solution.

I plan to cut off one of the respirators from a SEAL eventually but didn't want to rush it before knowing exactly how I want to do it. Or maybe I won't, I'm cool with them being some other/new version of the character since he's also not exactly in a gator skin vest either. Ideally the respirator would go to a tank on back so I'd need to do some customization for that.

But yeah, I was pleased with Serpentor because I hadn't actually planned a use for that other coat but it worked out.
