Fighting games have great character designs that make for cool toys so let's have a general for them. The two major players in this genre of toys right now are Storm Collectibles and Bandai Japan.
Storm Collectibles is looking to corner the market after having acquired the licenses to Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, Tekken, and King of Fighters. Unfortunately they've got a spotty record of QC issues in the Street Fighter line and it is solely focused on SFV designs.
Bandai Japan is currently making Street Fighter characters under their S.H. Figuarts line.
GSC also has some fighting game characters in the figma line. KoF98 versions of Kyo Kusanagi and Iori Yagami as well as polygonal versions of Akira Yuki and Sarah Bryant from Virtua Fighter.
What upcoming releases are you looking forward to? What characters do you want to see in the future?
>>6470371
>that wide space between shf ryu's eyes reserved for his jew nose
Thoughts on the Figuarts R. Mika? Pic best I could find.
>>6470427
Probably one of the worst looking females SHF has shown in a while. All of that is due to shitty engineering choices.
Reptile is my favorite ninja so I've got him pre-ordered. I may get the rest depending on how he turns out.
I really want that Shao Kahn though.
>>6470451
what's so bad asides from the gappage in the abdomen? i think that's just from a really stretched pose
>>6470456
His effects are the coolest of any of the characters they've done so far, those goo dripping fingers are awesome! I'd find it hard to justify buying clone figures unless i was a really big fan of each of them.
>>6470371
>mfw soul calibur died before fighting games started getting awesome toys.
>>6470371
>What characters do you want to see in the future?
>>6470484
the roughest figure is always the first of a line and while Ryu will probably be the centerpiece of a collector's series display he's usually not people favorites and an obvious jumping on point. I think each figure really represents what the lines are going for and what we can expect to see from them in the future. I like both lines myself and may buy certain characters from one or the other depending on which one i like more on a case by case basis
>>6470483
Just came here to post about that.
I would give my fist born for a figuarts Lei Lei, Demetri, Raptor B.B Hood, or Rikuo
>>6470464
I at least want Mitsurugi and Ivy
remember these?
>>6470487
ahhhh a Lord Raptor for my desk would be godlike
>>6470483
THIS. I need a good Morrigan figure before die.
This pic has been floating around for a while, figured I might as well post it since it's relevant to the thread. This 2 pack basically isn't all that exciting considering how many higher quality options we already have for both of these characters but it's got me excited to finally get some Capcom character figures, even though i'm pretty sure it's 1:18 scale
>>6470490
Yes. MK also had their own weird GIJoe subline.
>>6470490
with hindsight they were pretty derpy, but back then - as a 12 year old - they were the hottest shit.
Had Ken and Ryu. The vanilla choices.
>>6470464
At least we'll always have our early 00's McStatues.
>>6470499
I saw it in-package at one of the parallel importers I frequent. The megaman actually has a decent amount of joints, but the face looks kinda derpy. I didn't pick it up because I'm not sure if I want another piece of that Ironman.
>>6470509
huh, i had figured the line hadn't gone into production yet considering that's the only one i've seen so far and only that promo shot. That's good about the joints though

I'd want Raptor the most, but I'd be more than happy with any character from the series. I'd also like King of Fighters figures that don't look as bad as the figmas do. Hopefully if they end up making characters I care about more than Kyo and Iori, they'll look a little better
>>6470460
They've done a great job making each of the pallet swap ninjas worth the purchase, desu

>Back on 1994, when the game was launched, Kano used to look like pic related.
>However, Kano eventually evolved to look like the one on the bike.
I wonder if Boon and Tobias took inspiration from that design?
I'm wondering if any of these new companies will release as many characters as SOTA did.
>>6470604
Probably after they make Hugo since they can reuse a lot of the parts.
>>6470483
Darkstalkers is perfect material for figures with swappable option parts because of all the transforming limbs and such. I'd love a Huitzil with his various drills and buzzsaws and guns.
Well this looks disappointing.
>>6471280
At least he comes with the throne
>>6471280
...It does? Looks pretty awesome to me. You even get a throne.
>>6471283
>>6471286
Proportions look off to me, and considering they didn't bother to pose him at all in these shots, I'm positive the articulation is lacking severely for dynamic poses.
>>6471280
I wish SC would stop lying about their stuff being 1:12. Ryu isn't 7 feet tall.
>>6471294
They got super lazy with their posing
That godawful Shun Goku Satsu pose from their Akuma was disappointing
>>6471294
They have him sitting down in a really convincing pose, while wearing a soft plastic crotch overlay. That alone makes him more articulated than 95% of figures out there. Plus look at the contraction that his ab joint gets. In the sitting pose, his chest emblem is almost touching his belt. Again, that alone makes him more articulated than 95% of the figures out there.
This is common sense and logic at play, anon.
>>6471280
Uhhh, this looks great
>>6471323
Obviously they made it possible for him to sit, they included the throne ffs.
What I care about is him being able to swing that hammer and crush some skulls. If he can't convincingly two hand the hammer, that's a fail
>>6470371
Fighting games sure keep getting shitty toys.
>>6470483
>Any Darkstalkers
>6 inch scale Mortal Kombat
>All of the Capcom characters from MvC in 6 inches
>>6470899
No, not a chance. They'll make 4 or 5 of the most popular characters, a few SFV characters, and then call it quits.
>>6471294
He's built like a MOTUC figure. He doesn't look like a tall buff dude, he looks like a regular height dude who takes dangerous amounts of HGH.

Well put. He looks stumpy, like a giant dwarf
>>6471454
He's a muscley Japanese man, do you not know what those look like?

>>6471473

>>6471476

>>6470883
More likely the movie was the inspiration for Kano's changed look.
I plan to have ONLY 3 ninja's and ONLY 3 cyborgs when they come out, no shao kahn, none of the others.
...but what shall I make my third ninja, noob because edgy black and MUH EXCLUSIVE or reptile for color breakup even though I have less attachment to him (could never git gud with him in the games where's at least smoke I can spam his teleports and shadow moves a little)
>>6471280
I only wanted to buy this for the throne...but then I remembered that I can 3D print a throne room better than SC's offering.
Mine will be with blackjack and hookers.
Any news on SC Alex?
>>6470483
Only best girl.
>>6470427
i love toys with tits.
>>6471280
Is this guy going up for preorder on BBTS or is it a Storm web exclusive?
>>6470427
>>6472416
why is the movie SOO GOOD?
they even have a scene on a fucking boat
I actually just got SC's Hot Ryu in the mail today. He looks really great, but the range of motion for the legs are quite limited due to how beefy the legs are. Head, shoulders, elbows, wrists, torso, hip, ankles, and toe articulation is great.
I also have SC's regular Ryu and the SHF as well.
Overall, if you want a Street Fighter toy that you can play around with and pose a lot, go for the figuarts. I feel like they're more durable, in that you can make him do poses easier, but the Storm figures look higher quality from what I have in-hand, since there's more wash on the figures, more sculpt and paint details (see OP's pic really), and they don't have that shiny finish that the SHF has (which makes it look like cheaper plastic to be honest).
I personally like the Storm Collectibles a little more since I like action figs that look good and also I don't really change poses with them a lot (and also I like the beefier SFV look). Fortunately for me the QC on my SC figures have been good so far (no cracking or breaking like what I see around here).
>>6474048
Damn, exposed joints are forgiven.
>>6474234
He looks huge compared to the ninjas even sitting down. He's probably 9''.
>>6474048
That entire ab section is just an unforgivable mistake. Females should NOT have harsh ab crunches like that. No gain in articulation is worth that kind of fuck up to the sculpt when soft curves are so important to female physiques.
>>6474296
I think they want her to be able to get in as many crazy poses as possible, like you said. But yeah, probably not worth breaking the sculpt.
Hopefully you can fix it with decent posing.
>>6474069
Christopher Lambert covered a lot of the costs and basically played Raiden for almost nothing under the agreement he got all the screen time that was written in the script. He also hosted and payed for the after party of the filming. He had that much faith in the first film's quality. For the second one he made it clear they couldn't pay him enough to be in that shit "for even a minute" and refused to be a part of it.
>>6473114
I'd get Noob if I could find him for a price I was willing to pay.
>>6474462
BBTS has him for 80. Probably the lowest he'll ever get.
Related: Any info on the bloody variant they showed for Noob?
I want a Fulgore figurem
>>6474321
Heh, I remember reading a critic writing "when your sequel is so bad not even Christopher Lambert wants to be in, you know you have crossed some line".
>>6474296
You're a statuefag aren't you?
An action figure figure that can't even get in their default stance should never be made.
>>6470456
Same here, pre ordered him and depending on how he is i might buy sub zero too
>>6471280
Yo shut up, this guy is just 95 dollar. For that price I don't give a damn
>>6474048
They should just color the ball joint in her torso blue
That Shao Kahn and R. Mika both look good. But you're right anon this >>6474880 would be better.

>>6470371

>>6476240
Storm Collectibles are size queens.
>>6476259
So the SC is just huge right? The SHF isn't too small?
>>6476011
but I want Tina
>>6470604
YESS
>>6476269
Yeah. Figuarts is a normal size. Storm Collectibles scale only works with their own products which isn't that bad since they've got all the major fighting game licensees.
>>6474048
did anyone happen to go to sdcc and see her ass?
>>6474540
>BBTS has him for 80. Probably the lowest he'll ever get.
I'm in the UK and while it's been several years since I last considered ordering something from BBTS, I remember the shipping fee being quite high. I don't know if it would be any cheaper than buying it on eBay.
>Related: Any info on the bloody variant they showed for Noob?
I haven't found anything yet. Someone speculated that it will be an NYCC exclusive.
>>6476324
i didn't think about it when i took that picture, but i believe the way the cabinets were set up, everything could only be seen from the front
>>6476345
It probably sucks like Cammy's and they don't want to show it.
>>6470484
storm looking less awful between the two
Is the mezco mk x shit any good? Totally forgot the line even existed
>>6476011
is that a side-boob window i see there? she has that?
>>6476446
No, she usually wears a more conservative top. I think this figure is actually referencing this one Max Factory Kasumi statue, which was a slight redesign of the character and had that same risque top.
>>6476434
I have both versions of the 6" Mezco Kotal Kahn figure (regular and exclusive blood god version with red marks) and they're both really good figures.
Sculpt and paint are great, comes with 2 interchangeable hands, and the weapon accessories are well-done. Only gripe is that the articulation is kind of limited but you can still pose him dynamically.
According to reviews of the other figures, I think it's the same for them, great sculpt and paint job, kind of limited articulation. But they're really great for their price (about $12-$18 except for Scorpion and Sub-Zero which run more for $30).
I'm used to getting nip figures which run more for $50+ but for what the Mezco line offers, I'd say $12-$18 is a steal for what they offer, honestly. They're really nicely done figs.
>>6470490
I still have blanka, I lost Vega when I was a little kid. Still Have some MK GI joes too

>>6476350
>figuarts looking less awful between the two
right.
>>6477929

>>6477932
>>6477930

>>6477968

>>6477973

>>6477167
seems only the white deco has the window, but not the blue one. i still hope we get her in blue though
>>6477932
How is she? I tried asking in the revoltech thread but it's too busy fighting over the marvel stuff.
My source told me that Storm Collectibles might be making Guilty Gear and World Heroes.
World Heroes..... I think is like, not relevant. Probably the two main ninjas and that's it.
Still, they have plenty of MK and SF to push out before they should even consider these other licenses.
>>6478085
I wish it was her black and gold costume instead.
>>6478272
My uncle works here too and he says you lie.
>>6478272
>World Heroes
Ugh... I would love some World Heroes characters at true 1:12 scale and at a figma-like price, but I'd have to pass on Storm Collectibles one. I'm sure they'd look great, but still... too big and too expensive.
I'm only getting Chun Li because it's Chun Li. Not really willing to make a collection of these things.
>>6478272
Janne and Ryoko would be cool though
Just two weeks until SHF Cammy comes out. I'm fucking ready.
>>6470427
i'm so getting this along with S.H cammy. i hope they make one for juri, urien, boxer and guile too
>>6479084

>>6478845
they could make those boring choices for World Heroes or they could make MUDMAN
>>6478272
>guilty gear
they better fucking make justice if that's the case
>>6479250
>...to be pleased?
yes, thanks to ask.
>>6473114
if your fond memories involve games where smoke is a playable character, you totally missed out on the best MK times.
>>6478272
>World Heroes
...Why? Darkstalkers lines get cancelled time and time again, but someone can make fucking World Heroes of all things?
>>6479537
I figure it all depends on the cost of the license, what the seller is willing to do with it, and how much they limit the buyer in doing.
The question now becomes, how do we convince SC to do Killer Instinct
Spinal would be in every person's collection
>>6479537
>>6479546
See, I asked the exact same thing. SF is on the table, so logically Darkstalker would be the logical progression to pursue in license. Makes more sense than World Heroes to me.
And Capcom gave them a semi-bizarre answer. They said something about not really having a branding/license manager.
But you said anon, that's bullshit, like this guy, >>6478680. I was like wtf, there was a Morrigan PVC just before, my source also shrugged.
I really wish they can really sort this out and push out Darkstalker. With SC's accessories, they will have lots of cool gadgets fitting to the wacky Darkstalker movesets.
>>6479550
>Killer Instinct
>western trash
pick both
>>6479730
This is just dumb enough to believe
>>6478272
I think this tactic is better than you could imagine. Rather than aiming at completionists collectors who want every character from the same line, they choose to catch as many collectors from different series, and then hope they may get interested in the different lines they have.
Is similar to what some comic editorial do with their events, like marvel's civil war. Someone follows daredevil, then civil war hits, they read about Murdock teaming with someone, get interested in someone and now the reader is following two different comics rather than one.
Although SC won't launch comics or some other tier in material, the fact they display together different prototypes from different franchises may catch attention. I bet a lot of people don't know who they hell is this guy, >>6479289 or this pic related.
But certainly would look badass next to Bison.
>>6479885
>he thinks mortal kombat was superior nipponese
You can take the anon out of /v/, but you can't take the /v/ retardation out of the anon.
>>6480083
I was wondering why someone was saying Kahn was supposed to be Japanese.
Why are people saying MK is Nipponese?
>>6478272
Tell your uncle at Nintendo that Faust would be a perfect fit for a Storm GG line. He's already a lanky abomination of a man so the awkward scale wouldn't be an issue.
You'll get Sol and Ky and you'll like it.
>>6479289
>Brocken and C. Kidd never

>>6483672
>he wants more hasbro junk

Looks like a custom using an AI ninja as the base.
>>6484044

Anyone want to create an irc channel for these generals?
Rizon #buyf/a/gs is ok but it isn't enough
>>6485324
Definitely a custom. The realistic head doesn't fit at all. But the body looks nice.
Why are their figures so god damn tall.
>>6492665
>>6485551
I hated BAF 2nd Onslaught. He had a top-heavy body supported by goat legs, making it hard to pose
Anything like this M. Bison/Vega that doesn't cost over a hundred bucks? I'll settle for aliexpress bootlegs also. Just want a cool Bison to own.
Not sure if the Gief is fukhueg enough. Maybe he'll work better with the SHFs.
>>6492947
Really surprised the Chinese Factories didn't start making SOTA bootlegs. Guess that company and/or Capcom really kept an eye on it.
>>6493152
Ha ha, no. SOTA pissed off the factory and they held the molds for series 1 hostage. A whole slew of Ryus & Bisons were suddenly 'reissued' in Asia. Including the sdcc Evil Ryu.
>>6493167
I had no idea.
>>6470483

>>6501924
Tell it to Storm Collectible's photographer.
>>6501520
Whoever does their photoshoots sucks at posing. They have more range than their pictures indicate.
>>6501996
I'd understand if this was Hasbro or Mattel, but this is just lazy on their part.
If only they showed the same enthusiasm in their photography as they do their repaints.
>>6470490
On box: white ryu...? Wtf?
>>6470427
Her ribcage is designed so badly how did this thing even get through to be sold?
How is there no modern Strider figures? He has such a toy-etic design. A Figuarts, Figma or Revo Strider would sell pretty well I think.
So SC Zangief appears to be fucking incredible.
My wish.
Also Last blade. Although I do have a soft spot for world heroes.
I just bought this.
Looking to pick up the rest of the series starting with Quan Chi
>>6479730
What would motivate them to do DS? Ask your source, and get back to us.
>>6501486
Why did they make the screw holes on the side you can easily see them?
>>6503042
Didn't Bandai imply that they were planning to do this alongside those King of Fighters D-arts that vanished into the aether? Man, I really hope the success of the SF SHFs inspires them to dig up those SNK/Arc System Works characters they prototyped but never made.
>>6501486

>>6479550
Did you see the Spinal diaroma? Looks pretty good. Maybe not what you had in mind but its about as good as it gets for an official thing.
I do not know what their little not-Amiibo's are called but they are look good.
>>6501486
i still remember they were trying to get a certain number of pre-orders before they would commit to producing them, but most people balked at the idea of pre-ordering anything
>>6502054
>how did this thing even get through to be sold?
Except it hasn't yet and Bandai is notorious for showing prototypes that may or may not see the light of day.
>>6505708
Maybe I'm reading animosity into something that wasn't intended, but I've seen this complaint about Figuarts a few times now, and while we have seen a lot of prototype figures that have ended up not being released, there's always a reason for that and it's usually that other figures in the line didn't do well.
If Cammy, Akuma and Rashid all bomb, then there's little chance of R-Mika being released, they're not going to continue making stuff that doesn't sell. But all signs point to the Street Fighter figures being fairly successful, so there's no reason to think she won't be released.
It's not like they keep showing stuff that's hugely successful and then just deciding not to release them.
>>6505861
I don't know, guy. There's no logic with Bandai, especially in regards to SHF. They walked away from releasing motherfucking Char because Master Asia bombed. Char Aznable, arguable one of the top most iconic anime characters of all time. Shit, maybe even one of the most iconic fictional Japanese characters of all time.
And they're like, "nah, the already aged and obsolete figure of this other character from a divisive post-golden age AU show didn't sell worth shit even though we showcased it 3 years prior but somehow lost all sales momentum in the interim, so let's not take any chances and release a guy who is more recognizable worldwide than our own emperor and has zero articulated figure alternatives meaning an absolute cornering on the market for the massive amount of fans that would be interested in it."
Literally verbatim to what those crazy assholes said in a closed meeting.
>>6505875
I'm not saying the fact we aren't getting Char is good, but I don't know if you can call him iconic. The Gundams are what's iconic about the series, not the actual characters.
>>6505879
Char is Iconic. Very Iconic. Like How Darth Vader is Iconic.
>>6505910
Not really. If you showed a wide selection of random people random pictures of anime characters, they would not recognize any human characters from Gundam nearly as much as the actual Gundams or other anime characters like Goku or Naruto or Astro Boy or Sailor Moon.
>>6505913
You're talking about your experience here in the west where the first gundam most people here will think of is Wing. Char is iconic in the east
>>6505879
Char is the thing tying together the first two tv shows and the CCA film. Toyota has used him in car commercials that air on tv, he's pretty iconic.
>>6470483
Speaking of darkstalkers, it looks like the guy who made the Morrigan GK for last WF is making a Lilith
>>6505913
You clearly have had no contact with Japanese

You're probably American and think the US is the only country that matters with anime instead of the actual fucking origin country
I feel embarrassed to call myself an American thanks to you
Go take a look at the constant Char wank that has happened for many years
>>6506262
That's a big pussy
>>6505879
>>6505913
I'm actually finding myself stupefied over how ridiculously ignorant your post is. This is one of those "believe me, you are fucking retarded" moments that I'm sure you've felt when someone on 4chan says something stupid about the earth being flat or whatever. So...
Believe me, you are fucking retarded.

Hope Rashid eventually sells too. He's the best of the SF figures so far.
>>6506322
yeah sure thing Kensama
>>6506386
>Hope Rashid eventually sells too. He's the best of the SF figures so far.
Too bad nobody cares about that character at all. They need to get figures out of older characters that haven't ever gotten figures

>>6506262

butt buddies. thats what i need for my collection
>>6507515
I'd still argue Cammy isn't as bad as many are claiming, but showing her against R.Mika isn't doing her any favours.
>>6507585
I know, it sucks that Cammy lacks butt tech, but what really makes me upset is how good she could have been, especially after seeing what Bandai's capable of with Mika.
I hope they get Juri's ass right when the time comes
R. Mika looks great, its a shame that it's an exclusive, but I'm definitely purchasing one. Glad I didn't listen to any of those whiny complainers about the ab joint.
>>6507633
Has it dawned on you that nothing changed, the ab joint still looks like shit, and the thing that won you over is a set of well-lit promotional photos of a toys ass? You just have low standards and are pathetically thirsty, anon. That's worse than being "whiny".
>>6508229
There is nothing wrong with the ab joint. It gives the needed range of motion for the figure.
>>6507585
>I'd still argue Cammy isn't as bad as many are claiming
Now that I have her I'd say the same. In person it's actually not bad at all.
Another case of extreme close up shots exposing small detail flaws. The eye decals are fucked though, those are noticeable but the "looking to the side" face is good.
>>6508229
You sure make a lot of assumptions, man. Its okay, you don't have to like the toy - be as whiny as you want to be.
>>6508262
Except I haven't whined about anything, I just pointed out that you overlook shit because you haven't touched a woman in real life ever.
>>6508271

>>6508287

Yeah... nice try, samefag.
Alright, here's a question for you guys.
You can get two characters from a fighting game made by the company of your choice. It can be any design of any character from any franchise you want, but the catch is you can only pick two. (Not to say the others will never ever be made, but you will have to wait for them.) Who do you pick?
Myself I'd probably go for Talim and Tira, using their Soul Calibur 4 designs (primarily because I have a lot of residual affection for that game as it got me into the series, and partly because Talim's see-through harem pants are 10/10).
>>6508271
You've got moxie, I'll give you that.
We can disagree over a toy's physical appearance without resorting to personal insults, can't we? If my stating that some anons 'whining' about the figure has offended you in some way, then my mistake, I apologize.
Also, >>6508287 was not me.
>>6508308
I'd have to go with SHFs of Haohmaru and Hanzo from Samurai Spirits. They came close with their Ninja from the Kinnikuman line, and the D-Arts line bombed before they could release the teased Haohmaru. There's obviously so many more choices out there, but these were the first in my mind.
Speaking of Kinnikuman, it'll be great to have R. Mika mix it up with those figures and Tiger Mask.
Just got my Cammy in and I am pretty disappointed with how they handled the crotch piece.
There is a very obvious green hue to the flesh colored parts from the natural green color poking through
/sigh

Holy shit Cammy is a mess. This is even worse than Nuu's review. The decals are literally all over the place. Fucking machines line this shit up, simple QC checks would have caught this. Even with mediocre eye decals (design wise) things were never this bad in like the past what...7+ years? This is shit that should be easy to nail. Never in a million years would I think THIS would be an issue.
It's going to be hell getting a good copy of Cammy. I could have lived with the pure retard decisions of using mechanical ugly knees for no reason despite Chun Li's joint being perfectly fine. I could have lived with them being dumb enough to paint light flesh tone over a dark green and expecting it not to cause color mismatching. Having THREE major issues on a popular as fuck character though? She got zero attention to detail or QC. I am pissed.

Do you plan on buying mutliple to pick a good one to keep?
I thought about it... but my figure has the same problems as all the other ones being shown on various sites
I'd like to think there are some good ones out there...
>>6507633
>its a shame that it's an exclusive
Wait, what? Does that mean we won't be getting her in the U.S.? I'm ignorant about this exclusive crap, but fuck, I've been wanting a good R. Mika figure for ages, and the SOTA one from way back just didn't quite cut it.
>>6508948
Seeing as how shit is the standard with her, logically you'd have to find one with bad QC in order to find a good one.
>>6507014
They just announced she's going to be exclusive
>>6508982
good taste, honestly all the skullgirls (and the skull boys) are pretty great
the only one i'd maybe take a pass on is double in her nun outfit. then again, they could do something like she's just a shell you open up and reveal horrifying tendrils and writhing flesh you can pull out and articulate like a digivolving figure
>>6508948
>Do you plan on buying mutliple to pick a good one to keep?
I'll probably just buy one from HLJ then buy more locally if necessary. Then I will swap the parts/faces as necessary to build the perfect one. I used to buy 3-4 of everything back when figure prices were more sane just so I could ensure I got at LEAST one near perfect copy. Can't afford that shit anymore though.
>I thought about it... but my figure has the same problems as all the other ones being shown on various sites
There seems to be some variance from what i've seen. So "better" copies do exist most likely unless you managed to get one of the best. I just want something that doesn't disappoint me too badly.
>>6508946
It's a lot harder to line shit up like that. I was mainly talking about anime style faces. Basically in my long history of buying figures and looking at reviews I can't think of a single one that uses decals but turned out this sloppy. I can think of a few that were SLIGHTLY off or a few that were hand painted and derpy looking. But actual machine assisted decal applications being this sloppy? Can't think of any.
>>6508965
Eh...Street Fighter is pretty big here but not sure how the Bluefin sales are doing. I would ASSUME it will be available here much like the DBZ figures but who knows. We will have to wait for further news to confirm it.
>>6508996
I think I might hold off on buying another and just wait for Storm Collectible's try at her

>>6509047
I'll be sure to post pics and comparisons as I get them. I've actually been meaning to start a site for a while now where I do toy reviews but also do comparisons among my multiple copies for those interested in what kind of QC variance there is. Not sure what the level of interest on that would be though since it'd be a lot of work. Doubt I could get the reviews out fast enough for most people to care since I have no intention of EMS shipping each figure within days of release.
>>6507585
I never really thought cammy was all that. she's supposed to be this british military butt goddess, but her design does nothing for my dick
Preordered Zangief last week, then caved last night and bought Ryu and Bison. Looks like a collect a new line now.
there's something about this figure that just isn't right.
I don't know what's going on but I just look at the pics and can't help but think something's off.
>>6512651
I think the hands are too small, everyone's hands are gigantic in the actual game.
>>6512651
The jagged ab crunch cut and huge lats ruined her feminine physique. Mika's thicccc, but not a tree trunk like the figure. Realistically she should have a upper torso (not bust line, but torso) that is as thick as Chun-Li's. As-is it looks like a guy in drag with comical balloon tits and an anime face.
>>6512680
>As-is it looks like a guy in drag with comical balloon tits and a generic anime face.
fixed?
I'm not sure what her face is supposed to look like now, but this is the basic criticism for all of Bandai's SF figures so far.

>>6517345
and because theyre cheaper
>>6517347
one last thing is they also give loyalty points like amiami. So overall theyre pretty great
>>6517330
I ordered a Digital Monster Ver. 20th and they didn't ship until well over a month after the release date.
>>6517330
In my experience they play fast and loose with "in stock," in that they'll say that they have something but they might actually not, so I completely backed away from ordering from them ever again. Plus it took over 30 days and multiple emails for them to finally get back to me on an issue. Saving 5 japshekels isn't worth it for the hassle, I stick with the normal big 3 importers.
>>6517349
Premium Bandai had two waves of them shipped out though, one in June and one in July. Nin nin could have easily not gotten theirs until the second allotment, so unless they specifically said July delivery for your order, there's nothing wrong there.
>>6507515

>>6517654
Because it didn't exist yet
>>6512651
Up on bits
http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/Product/VariationDetails/60717
Just got her and while her butt tech is subpar compared to Chunner, she is still poseable where you can do most of her signature moves, she goes well with Chun-Li, Just checked HLJ and she is already soldout there. Didn't buy Rashid since I don't care about him.
>>6520297
Um, great info? No one ever doubted her poseabaility, after all, the crotch piece is pliable PVC.
>>6520313
Just expressing myself on how happy/satisfied I am with her with all the negatives I hear about the figure. Yeah she is below Chun or Ryu in terms of quality but she is still good atleast to me. I'm hoping for the line to continue so they can make other characters in poseable figure form especially the waifus.
Why didn't they have Cammy's ass work like R. Mika's ass?
While the rest of R. Mika looks off, her ass actually works, which is where they went horribly wrong with Cammy.
>>6520375
Because they were lazy and figured a "good enough" job would still get bought
>>6520375
Because Cammy's actual attire is closer to a thong that rides all the way up to her hips whereas Mika covers it partway (making it easier to blend in the break-off point). With or without the buttflap, she'll still have to have flesh colored parts reaching up to her hips just to keep it in line with her intended design (this being the best possible solution).
>>6520385
It could have been better but I've seen that hip/butt articulation style used on other female figures before so it's not as if they purposely botched her or something. Only reason Cammy is getting singled out is because of a combination of her popularity and people clamoring for some revolutionary butt tech.

How new are you not to recognize where this is based on? It's even in the promos when they showed off the Figma.
Just answered Cammy's questionnaire and I was surprised Sakura is on the list.

BLAZBLUE

Soul Calibur
Super Smash Bros. Smash Brothers (Nintendo Character)

I really wish for some Tekken. I know Storm is making some but I'm feeling impatient and I just want more all around. I'd kill for a T7 Yoshimitsu, Devil Jin, T7 Jin, True Ogre, Lili, Kazumi and Alisa (I started from T2 but barely liked any of the female characters until T5 onwards).
And that's just my mains and personal favorites, because I know it's probably one of the only fighting games I'd get most if not all characters anyway.

Okay, so the statueshit was inaccurate too, cool. Bandai did the same shit with the Street Fighter SHF. The figures don't look like the actual characters, they look like generic, fat-tittied anime girls cosplaying as the characters. It's irritating and lazy
>>6521300
Nice to know that Vampire/Darkstalkers is at least on the questionnaire.
>>6521994
>Okay, so the statueshit was inaccurate too, cool.
Like it or not, that statueshit was pretty popular back in the day. The particular choice of that statue isn't just random either, since it was originally released by Max Factory (which makes 90% of Figma as we know them today). Just because you're new, doesn't mean they're wrong for choosing that particular rendition, especially when it's a tribute to one of their most well-known statues. Also
>The figures don't look like the actual characters
What are artistic renditions? This is even more true for the Figma since it's based on a statue that was really popular at the time.
>>6521994
Except hers is based on a specific artwork, not that render/in-game model (I might be wrong)
Oh shit, I just realized that Storm Collectibles Ryu has a swivel in his calf. Now I can turn the ankle hinge to face sideways, swivel the foot around 45 degrees, and have both feet planted flat even though his legs are spread apart as wide as possible.

>>6523283
There's just not enough black around the eye, I think. It's a common make-up trick that surrounding the eye with black makes it bigger. Asian women do it all the time. Chun-Li needs more, because it would make her look more youthful. Also a pinch more coloring in the lips to expand them.
>they hand sculpt them
They're digitally sculpted. Here's a link to their sculptor's work.

Huh, guess that's what I get for listening to yt reviewers.
I would think that vg characters would be the easiest things to make toys out of, since 3d models of them exist already. I guess they don't have permission to use them?
>>6523296
It doesn't make them look "bigger" it just helps them pop because the black contrasts the white of the eyes.
