I wouldn't pull it past Medicos to do a pink D4C but this one is a nice mixup of the blues that D4C has but the black shoulders and purple accents gives a really nice combo of colors that mesh.

They will probably finish Part 7 but if they are within limits then they would probably make it a rather thin release with Johnny, Gyro, and Valentine with their respective stands (Or we enter a Weather Report situation with only aspects of the stands being represented and the stand itself being omitted for release)

It's a bigger question if they would actually pull through on RWBY being the newest IP choice since they are scheduled for 4 figures instead of the 3 round release like Tokyo Ghoul and Drifters. I won't be shocked if they decide to cancel but then again I don't know much of the RWBY community over in Japan.

Baoh is really a oddity but someone did mention that Medicos is changing up tactics and just limiting his release to purely WF and lottery since those willing to collect are much smaller in number.

Honestly I don't know. I've heard YAJ can get you good deals but I heard artbook shipping can take a bite out of the wallet. I only got mine through a Kinokuniya in my city and that was $150 for the standard "mailbox" edition. I think Manda's SAHRA store can estimate the shipping on each type if they have it in stock so it can give an idea but I'm sure anon's can put up better plans. It's pretty hefty given all the content and the difference in the limited edition is the fancy box and Blu-Rays.

I still vote Aijin/IBM as my top SAS pick but Part IV Star Platinum is awfully close. IBM's range of movement is greatly benefited by his lanky proportions and double jointed areas and the pistol is nicely sculpted and painted. Plus you have 3 nice head options even though I can't see many use the "flat" head often. If Shinichi had swappable double jointed elbows and better feet articulation I'll vote him up higher.

Hmh, difficult. I really like Shinichi. Articulation is fine and the accessories are cool. I like Kaneki too, because if you know how to fiddle around with joints, you can fix his one limitation (range of motion of leg), but he's far from the best, or most flashy, or

The IBM is good, but a simple design.

I think I'd have to go with Joseph. Good articulation, good sculpt and paint (although I wish the blue version had been the exclusive, rather than the current WF one), fair amount of accessories, nice price and you don't need to buy a stand to go with him, although one might argue that Caesar is a mandatory partner.

I just think it's because time has passed, and so has the hype. Loads of other limited stuff has come out since, in even smaller numbers (like the crystal ones limited to ten) and people just don't see it as worth it's original price anymore.

Eh, he's good but Aijin and SPIV were generally more pleasant for me. Plus I always dug how Medicos worked over the shoulderpads on Star Platinum to have their own joints so they aren't tied to the mold and gives a little extra to the arm movement. The only thing lacking was just accessories which is understandable but I appreciate the addition of that wooden piece for a SHA display. Crazy Diamond is fun but I only pose him as much as any other SAS that isn't my top picks.

SAS General, I need your expertise. After six years, my original Dio fucking broke. Broke right off at the neck peg. I don't know whether it was the inclement weather in the new place I'm living or what the fuck caused the plastic to stress, but it doesn't matter.

Does anyone here know how close the rerelease Dio is to the original? Paint apps, size, etc.? I know some of the rereleases have differed, like Josuke's for example. And also, is there a way to tell the rerelease from the original on the box or something?

No way in terms of box, but the faces are totally different. Dio isn't really smirking in the reissue just a blank expression. Also the smiling face that shows teeth has this weird mark on the side as if they wanted to accent the fact that he's smiling. He's also noticeably paler than the original and the colors are alot lighter in skin tone.

The One Piece figures were a really cheaped out shit show, but that was back when Figuarts were pumping out so many lines quick as they can. Since that era of them flopped so bad they made some proper divisions for each line and have been doing better since.

I think if the guys that handle the Kinnikuman figures has a crack at Jojo then we could get something pretty neat, we'd at least get a really good Star Platinum out of it.

I like to think he's just trying to match Dio but not going all out red which makes his WF edition line up with WF Dio funnily enough. Other than that the red cross is chosen from the artwork it's inspired from though Medicos didn't use the darker blues and colored lips direct from the artwork.

This. Price does matter. It's the reason Figuarts Zero was a massive failure at first because they were charging double and even triple the price of prize figures that had similar or better quality. They have since improved the line to justify the increased cost but holy hell the early ones were a nightmare. Lazy sculpting, low-grade prize figure paint apps and missing paint apps advertised in promo shots that made them look amazing.

What Medicos was giving us at roughly $40-50 shipped felt like a great value. At $80+ it's no longer a great value and in some cases we are getting less than we got before. Less articulation, less accessories, less paint shading, etc. Also this dude is way the fuck out of scale. He should be close to the same height as Toyohisa but instead he's almost a full inch taller. Oda isn't a 7 foot tall giant.

Then they should have made Toyohisa 7 inches tall too instead of creating a massive scale difference issue two figures into the line. Now even if you buy these three they won't match up properly. I'm sure all we will get is these three anyway because I doubt sales will be great with the stupid pricing, the mediocre likeness, the lack of accessories and the boring expressions. The scale issue was the least of their concerns but it's one more shit brick in the shit house.

I just got my first RAH (Jolyne). She's great, except for one thing. Her left ankle joint works just fine, like an ankle joint should. But when I try to use the rocker joint on her right ankle, it feels...spring-loaded? It just snaps back to the default position if I try to tilt it on that axis. I am really confused as to why this is happening, and to make matters worse, I can't even see the joint--the fabric of her pants are permanently attached to the soles of her shoes. I can't even find a way to get the pants off anyway, there is a velcro closure in the back but it seems to be blocked by a glued-on plastic belt.

Anyone have any experience with this figure (or the RAH female body in general)? I want that ankle to be usable, but I am also afraid of breaking it if I force it.

Nah bro. It sold out initially because people were expecting big things from the line. Once they realized the final releases looked nothing like the promo bullshits they started to shelfwarm HARD until Bandai was forced to up the quality. That's when the line began selling well again. There was at least 30-40 releases where Bandai habitually showed things in the promo images that didn't make it into the final product or whose paint was prize figure tier despite costing 2-3x more.

Sometimes it happens. My Stone Free never found a fitting Medicos base arm no matter how many times I swapped it and I figured they fudged her peghole depth or size so it's never compatible with any arm unless I use another brand. Everyone else fits flush.
